What are your horror stories of dating a single mother

This is the younger brother of a girl I fooled around with. He tried online dating and found a high-maintenance single mother. The single mother works low-paying jobs and (until they got together) lived with family. While his job isn't much better, he still works hard and makes good money. They moved in together shortly after getting together because him & his ex lived together and the lease was up. He currently pays all the bills. His mother is loaded and offered to buy him a house on the condition that it be both in his name and her name (because she's RP enough to know how much trouble single mothers can be; her husband/his father died when he was young and she never remarried). The single mother flat-out refused because she didn't want to risk a break-up and her ending out on the street "with nothing to show for the relationship."

Needless to say, he didn't take his mom up on the offer. None of his siblings are as thick-headed as he is and never received an offer like that. But this woman would rather he pay all the bills than cut down on his bills because she won't have an opportunity to take half.

I have another story about a friend of a friend but it's nowhere near as bad as the story above. The poor sap found a single mom on Tinder and she sweet-talked him into moving together within a month. She's good-looking so he decided to do it. Our mutual friend owns some property so he rented them a place. After a couple of months, he ended up finding out that she was fucking around with her ex who had kicked her out for cheating. He moved out, she had no money to pay for the place, so our friend evicted her.

I don't have one personally, since as far as I can remember (even as a Beta) I hated single moms.

However, my insurance guy told me a story from the early 80's. He broke up with a girl with two kids and she confronted him a few weeks later she storms up to him and says "Al, I'm disappointed in you. I was ready to give you my kids."

Single moms just don't understand their kids are baggage. Not just baggage, but baggage filled with radioactive waste.

Two receptionists where I work are single moms (late 20's) with half black kids. Both of them asked me for advice, as to why a 23 year old guy they were both after didn't want to pursue a relationship with either one of them. So there I am, biting my tongue making up some sort of bullshit excuse as to why the 23 year old dude didn't want anything to do with the gruesome twosome. Being a higher rank I said I had him working on something that couldn't be discussed. So I texted him the excuse and explained to him what they asked me.

It is absolutely mind boggling! I have never encountered such blatant stupidity!

I got front row tickets to see a single mother take half of her ex's shit, and set herself up for life with alimony, and ensure that she has complete control of wether or not he gets to see the kids. I started dating her about three weeks after she left him.

It was so fucking brutal, and how she justified it was just amazing. The guy was indeed an idiot, but she went above and beyond what he had coming. She did it for the pleasure of seeing him squirm at the end.

I got scared and moved on. It could have gone real bad, as she was a colleague, but I was lucky.
