Esther Vilar says that women will always look for men they can manipulate, but this seems to conflict with the theory of Hypergamy, where she looks for the best she can get. Usually betas are the ones manipulated and alphas aren’t.

Am i missing something here? Is Vilar basically describing the Beta Bucks side of Hypergamy? It doesn’t make sense that a woman would leave an alpha for a beta just because she can easily manipulate him. This seems to conflict with the Alpha Fucks side of her Hypergamy since she doesn’t consolidate it properly by moving on to a beta.

Side note: I’m halfway through The Manipulated Man so far.
