I prefer the not-doing-12oz-curls technique. You need to loose the weight brother, there's no "special moves" or "magic foods" to fix mens' bodies, that stuff only works on women (to sell them bullshit).

Table pushaways. When you're not hungry anymore, you push away from the table and walk away.

Work your core. Squats (with weight), crunches, etc. Those build the muscles in the area. If your abdomen/core has been severely neglected, this should help pull in the middle-age gut.
Other than that, you can't spot-remove fat without surgery. Some people just store fat in a less-sexy way than others, I'm one of them too. I get moobs and thick thighs when I gain weight. I have to keep working out to avoid those. It's not a bad thing, in the end, but I can't be comfortable and fat.
Unless your belly is pudgy but every other part of you is like a rock, you've still got more weight to lose.

The easiest way is calories in, calories out. Dont waste time reading diet books or looking for secrets. Just eat less calories and expend more energy.
