Been doing the required reading. Haven't been able to tackle this one directly with the info I find.

Seen women the world round do this. Basically they have an issue, one they directly ask for help with. Recent example was the SO had a small ant problem. She contacted me about it. My uncle is a fumigator, so I've come to know good products for this stuff. Impart knowledge. (I'm out of town for 2 days, not able to act). When I get back home, she's got some friends over (mixed group). One of her friends notices the ants. Tells her to buy some of that stuff she saw on tv (friend says she never tried it but since she saw a commercial it must be good). Friends concur. She buys it, doesn't work and eventually buys my suggestion.

Maybe technically not the best example, but it speaks to a trend I see. Women will dismiss the things that come out of their SOs mouth ON WHAT BASICALLY SEEMS LIKE PRINCIPLE, and accept without question what their friends say. Their viewpoint is skewed to scrutinize their man but never think twice about what a friend says, regardless of actual knowledge or experience.

So my question is why? Is it anything other than a shit test? And next time I'm in it, what do I do?
