Speaking from personal experience, improving your attractiveness dramatically improves the level of girls you'll get IOIs from and the success rate of your approaches.
After that, frame is everything. If you don't have it, the approach won't go anywhere.
If you're unattractive (and I spent a while as a dumpy dude wearing poor fitting clothing with a beer gut), as long as you can deal with the reduced amount of IOIs/failed approaches, you can still bang plenty of hot chicks as long as your frame is strong.
Do I advocate being dumpy and flabby? Absolutely not. But I think it's worth underscoring just how important strong frame is.
I agree men are more hypergamous with a focus solely on looks whereas women are hypergamous both about looks, but also about other factors as well. My personal hypothesis is that physical attraction is what initial interests women, but after that other signs of high value are required for a woman to maintain interest. Guys will general maintain interest based on attraction alone, even if no other signs of a high quality woman are present.
I used hyperbole when I said "all the time". I meant "more than I expect", which would be zero. It's definitely non-zero.
My personal experience is I've scored pretty attractive lays or LTRs when I, frankly, did not find myself at my most attractive. My best theory is that other things are going on, or else that I found women with unusual tastes. (Maybe I'm rating myself too low. I think I'm a 7 or 8, and I think I was a 5 or 6 at my worst.)

Ironically, you can make yourself less fat by not being a fat fuck. The only way to make yourself taller is to use lift shoes or bone extension surgery.
Yes, same thing for facial aesthetics, which appears to be so beloved by women. I really hate this, because too many women are attracted by characteristics that cannot be changed without substantial investment of money and substantial sacrifices, or just impossible to change.

Meh - I've been rolling 2 1/2" lifts for last 4 months to bump up from 5'9 to 5'11. Haven't been called out on it, even by a 5'11 plate who can clearly see the difference between dressed and barefoot. Of course, when I'm barefoot, shes just been fucked, so there is that.

In-shoe heel lifts - rather than wearing a heeled shoe (which is obvious), I use shoe inserts... I wear boots these days (leather and basketball) to fit them in, but an easy way to buff your appearance without trying.
Both of which also costs money and counts just as much of a status symbol as special shoes or surgery! If a man will spend money on a nice car or a house or a pair of lift shoes or surgery that done did make that there small people bigger, he'll throw money to a woman so she doesn't have to earn her own living. In fact I misread the Wikipedia article, for some reason (I blame the demon brandy) I read it as only matching women with men who are on the taller end of the spectrum of male height, not only matching women with men taller then the woman being matched individually. Makes a lot more sense that way, of course. As long as the company lets it be known that is what will actually be happening, then there's no deception.
As for the discrimination, as long as I knew about it and agreed to it, I might even prefer it myself. It's a waste of time to message women who aren't at least the same height or shorter than me, the vast majority of the time.
So, I'd want to know that the filtering was occurring, but even so, I might embrace it as making my own search easier. I've dated many taller girls. Mostly taller girls. I've noticed that the tall preference is usually a shit test and a really difficult one to overcome, but usually a shit test nonetheless. Display other alpha traits and they won't care about height. My time as a bass player in a band proved me that. I heard "I don't normally go for short guys..." so many times but the fact of the matter is they just wanted a guy with some serious social proof. A woman on my FB friends list posted one of those 'empowering' slogan pics that said "I may be short but I'm utterly adorable" etc, so I Shared it to make the point that this applies to men.

I've never had a female criticize me for not wanting to be involved with fat girls - then again this feedback has come mostly from fit girls. I think this reaction comes mostly from girls that won't take care of themselves.
I don't date obese girls because its fucking unhealthy, and the majority of the time, if a girl is unhealthy, they're also lazy, which speaks a lot about their characteristics, which all in all, I don't find attractive.
We live in a cruel, unfair world. It can be entertaining to expose bullshit like this, but I think it's superior to just acknowledge that hypocrisy and double-standards are pervasive and we're not going to escape them. Once you acknowledge it, you can navigate it and seek the outcomes that you really want.
A bunch of guys cheering at the exposé... why? Are any of us individually better for it? Not really.
There's more to life than pointing out the bullshit of small-minded people. It can be fun, I guess, but it's easy to make it a habit- and that habit distracts you from actually creating value for yourself and others.

How could anyone take life advice from a being that rejects all men below a certain height (shorter than them in 4" heels), even if he is perfect in all other areas. THAT IS INSANE. If I met the perfect woman with one minor and normal (not freakish) physical trait like smaller breasts... I'm all over that.
I'm 5'4 and in my late 40's. My current girlfriend is 5'11 and in her early 30s. I find height irrelevant. Physical condition, and confidence, make all the difference.

What's funny is that it is more insulting personally to them to be called fat than it is for someone to be called short. For someone who is short they just accept that, there is no personal/internal shame in that. Lastly, many women choose to be fat. Believe it or not, that is there way of opting out of social pressure to look good and pressure of being a successful woman. They are shielded from being challenged or judged as a real person, so they chose to comfortably remain as a fat person. The only one thing that they can be judge for at this point is why are they choosing to be fat. And defending their fat life style is the one thing they will stand up for personally.

I agree men are more hypergamous with a focus solely on looks whereas women are hypergamous both about looks, but also about other factors as well. My personal hypothesis is that physical attraction is what initial interests women, but after that other signs of high value are required for a woman to maintain interest. Guys will general maintain interest based on attraction alone, even if no other signs of a high quality woman are present.

Meh - I've been rolling 2 1/2" lifts for last 4 months to bump up from 5'9 to 5'11. Haven't been called out on it, even by a 5'11 plate who can clearly see the difference between dressed and barefoot. Of course, when I'm barefoot, shes just been fucked, so there is that.

She doesn't mean what she says. If a short alpha with a great body and nice ride comes along, she would be on her knees, not on her heels, probably saying something like "i never done this before, you're making me crazy". I don't want to date a woman who lacks physical intelligence. It is not just the appearance, it has to do with my expectations of her mindset and her hobbies.
There's nothing wrong with not being attracted to someone who is short. and there's nothing wrong with not being attracted to someone who is overweight.

The guy who runs okcupid shared a pretty interesting statistic. White women are the least likely group to date outside their race. ANY OTHER GROUP... That means that white guys, black women, etc., are more likely to date outside their race than white women.
I have a problem seeing how that's not racist. AFAIC, if that stat is representative, white women are the most racist group in America. How does that rationale play out? "I simply don't prefer niggers, gooks or sand monkeys. Just a preference... I prefer to engage in race control with my vagina. No way I'm bringing that shit home to my family. Tee hee!"

Yes. It is perfectly legal to be base your dating preferences on race. No one can force another person to fuck anyone. The point is that almost every other group has grown more tolerant except for white women.
Look, brah, we could argue about this until the cows come home but there's a pretty interesting documentary on Netflix called Slanted Screen that sorta makes the argument that race based romantic discrimination by white women against Asian men was artificially constructed and reinforced. You should watch it before you nonchalantly dismiss how insidious this type of discrimination is.
I agree that the portrayal of Asian men in the Western media is pretty messed up. I also agree that women (of all races) allow the media to shape their desires much more so than men. However, I don't think women are obligated to date outside their race if they don't want to. The majority of women in every race end up pairing up with their own (even Asian women in America).
Thankfully for me, it's genetically impossible (high metabolism) for me to get fat, and physically impossible (due to me only having 20% left of a stomach from invasive adenocarcinoma surgery in my stomach.)
