Context: It's 2006. Lisa Loeb (37 years old) is promoting her new album while her TV show is in full swing.

"Singer-actress Lisa Loeb documented her life as a single woman in her mid-thirties as she attempted to re-enter the dating scene after two failed relationships, each of which had lasted six years."

She decides to do promotion by calling in for the Opie and Anthony Show with guest Patrice O'Neal.(Oh, boy) So she's on the air and they bring up her TV show and Opie and Anthony start licking her ass here and there throughout the interview. Clearly they have a thing for her and understandably so. She has that cute singer-songwriter look and vibe about her if you know what I mean.

Anyway, she explains her dating life and goes on and on about the experience. As soon as she starts hamstering, Patrice jumps right in on her bullshit. Mind you, he keeps it relatively mild considering the kind of person he is but really just spelled it out for her and really showcased her BP behvavior and mindset.

Give credit where credit is due, she surprisingly took it very well. Never once got angry or nasty with him. If only other women were as open hearted as her then perhaps these conversations can happen out in the wild. Long story short, Patrice keeps it very RP and just leaves her hamstering. The audio is 31 mins long but it's worth listening to just for some perspective. She did eventually get married in 2009 and had 2 kids since then. Congratulations Lisa. Hope it works out.

Key Moments

(7:15-7:50)

Patrice: I'm just saying Lisa, there are no single guys. When you meet them there's about 10 other women. So, you just have to have enough patience to weed them out. You have to be competitive with those other 9 hanging around.

(8:44-11:45)

The Errand Date. They're on a shopping date[huh?] and Lisa decides to buy containers worth $300. Guess who pays for it because it's a "date." Never be that guy. She is relatively successful yet still let it happen. Proving women fuck up not down.

(16:19-17:23)

Proving women's lack of responsibility.

Patrice:What are you doing Lisa to get guys besides existing. She's not doing shit but breathing. She's making a decision of who gets to be with her. She's not doing one thing to get a man. How do you get a man? Lisa:People come to me and at the same time, I'm developing my career. I'm working on my album in the studio. I go to the gym. I maintain. I maintain spiritually, mentally.[So basically..]

Patrice:(talking over her) Me, me, me. I, I, I. (Gives up)

(18:54-19:10)

Patrice: Stop going on dates with the idea that it's about you. You're at the age now where it's about the guy.[hmm]

I purposely left out more moments for the people that actually listened to it. Just give it a shot. Patrice was a great man and truly Red Pill. Gone too soon, for sure. Let his death be proof that you need to take care of you body as well as your mind and finances. He went out in a very hard and honestly scary way.

"On October 19, 2011, O'Neal reported being unable to move his legs, the first signs of a stroke. He was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, and later Englewood Hospital where doctors performed surgery to remove a blood clot. He lost his ability to speak, and later his ability to move, for a time communicating by eye movements, before losing that ability as well. Doctors warned that if he survived, he would likely remain permanently paralyzed and unable to speak.

Initially the family made efforts to keep news of O'Neal's illness quiet. On October 26, 2011, it was announced to the public on The Opie and Anthony Show that O'Neal had suffered a stroke a week earlier. At 7:00 AM on November 29, 2011, he died from complications from his stroke. O'Neal was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes while in his early twenties, and also struggled with weight issues for year[s."
