Every person there has something of value to you. Paul's been a mechanic for 10 years, and loves Audi's; give respect for it and ask him sincerely for his expert advice in a way that relates to your life and is usefull. Tammy qualified with the highest markmanship rating before she left the Army for college. Ask her about her favorite rifle and why, and point out that you think it's neat that her choices are for accuracy instead of overall power and how bad you feel trying to pick up a 1911 for a lefty like you would break the bank but if she had any recommendations for a local range or club because you haven't been shooting in forever.

These people have a value to bring to their circle of friends and family, as do you. Maybe it's dancing or talking metaphysics. Maybe it's grinding to a song. Maybe lots of sexing. They're putting themselves out there just like you should be.

You're standing in the middle of an empty casino, where every slot machine doesn't need money to pull the arm of. Some win. Some wont. But you'd be an idiot for doing ANYTHING other than pulling each and every lever available.

First off, go to fun parties.

Watch this video and focus in on the macro/micro process of obtaining "state". This is a theory where you find what makes parties fun for you, and what triggers your ability to have fun by achieving state.

For me, "having fun" includes opening new people, talking to them, learning about their stories, then interacting, joking, teasing, fucking with them, etc. This create rapport and builds social value because I am very, very good at just walking up to a group of perfect strangers and getting them all talking and interacting with me.

That is what triggers my state - you might find more enjoyment from something else, like finding a new buddy to shoot pool, or play beerpong, or just grinding on girls all night long and pulling mad numbers.

In Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" (RP suggested reading), it is stated that the best way to win friends is to become genuinely interested in other people. This is opposed to trying to convince other people they should be interested in you (comes off as needy and rarely works unless you are already much higher status than the audience).

Maybe you are bored because you don't really care about the people at the party. You couldn't care less about their silly stories or their problems. That's not necessarily bad, but you either need to find new friends that you are actually interested in, or open your mind / check in to the wavelength and find a way to work with what you have.

Give 0 fucks to everyone and have fun.

There is music at the party? Dance like no one is watching you but not in an awkward way.

There are drinks at the party ? Drink but drink like a gentleman , don't get drunk. A little alcohol will get you loose

The party is boring ? Make sure you bring value to the party & you are the party. Make sure you are the circle of attention.

get one or two of your close friends and set eachother secret challenges:

who can keep a fake accent going the longest ^ introduce people with a ridiculous name
hold peoples hands for no reason

its easier to have alot of fun with a few people than go around and trying to have fun with everyone you know?
