she talked for an entire week about this bar crawl. She wanted to go with her friends,

probably to show me off since They are mostly single and I just got offered a graduate assistant position that she has been bragging about (because of course my accomplishments are her accomplishments).

Well I go to the bar (this is around midnight, about 3 hours into the crawl) and apparently all her liquor hit her at once. She panicked, walked 2 blocks away and then called me and said she wait trying to walk to my apartment which is up the road about 20 blocks from this particular bar.

This is just... stupid. On her part. Drop her. You're not her babysitter.

I'm sorry to say, I highly doubt she perceives you as Alpha, given what I've read thus far. I'd also expect infidelity is impending.

She's what I'd call good enough, because she does meet my needs most of the time but seems to have a habit of twisting things and situations around her.

Quick take: there are some holes in your game that need ironing out. The relationship is easily salvageable, but you'll need to brush up a couple of things:

By depending on her obviously-worthless friends to come and get her, you're making the same mistake that your girl is making. Namely, thinking that irresponsible people give a shit about her. Next time, pay for an Uber, give her a ride, or otherwise fix the problem yourself. Don't rely on idiot bar-hopping girls.

This one is your fault. Don't buy things for women expecting to get reciprocity in terms of sex etc. If you buy her the gift, do it because you want her to have it, and not because you'll get something out of it later. It never works that way, and you'll only frustrate yourself further by thinking that it does.

Next time you're going to the gym, tell her to grab her gear and you'll show her your workout. "Asking" won't get you anywhere. Lead by example, not by words.
