Hello, thank you for clicking my post. Hopefully, you learn something or this validates one of your beliefs. If you disagree, feel free to explain why, in-fact, I’d encourage it. Also, if you need clarification on anything, please drop a comment.

Let’s talk about Chaos, but first let’s define it.

cha·os

noun

complete disorder and confusion.

"snow caused chaos in the region"

PHYSICS

behavior so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions.

the formless matter supposed to have existed before the creation of the universe.

This is the dictionary definition of Chaos, provided by Google. Take special note of this part of the physics definition: “behavior so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions.” Just think about it for a moment, it will be important later.

Now this is about Chaos and Order, so let’s define that too.

or·der

noun

noun: order; plural noun: orders; noun: Order

1. the arrangement or disposition of people or things in relation to each other according to a particular sequence, pattern, or method.

"I filed the cards in alphabetical order"

2. a state in which everything is in its correct or appropriate place.

"she tried to put her shattered thoughts into some semblance of order"

This is also a dictionary definition provided by Google. There are many definitions of the word, but this one is mine. Sorry, it's not actually mine, I just wanted to quote a great movie.

I understand that sometimes words mean different things to different people. Some people might think of Chaos, and think a black swirling ball (That’s what I think of). So please understand that when I speak of these two words, that I mean exactly as how they are defined above.

Perfect, lets dive into one last definition. That would be “Natural Selection”.

Thankyou Google.

nat·u·ral se·lec·tion

the process whereby organisms better adapted to their environment tend to survive and produce more offspring. The theory of its action was first fully expounded by Charles Darwin and is now believed to be the main process that brings about evolution.

Natural Selection is a tremendous thing in our lives. It impacts us on every level imaginable. Your ability to read this post to being able to touch your toes. Natural Selection is what has granted us these abilities. All I want to talk about with this phenomenon, is that Natural Selection is both Order and Chaos. The Chaos is in the genetic diversity that allows some to survive and others to die. The environment that affects us. The pure chance of the millions of variables that allowed life to even emerge.

We can find that when Chaos is observed its “behavior is so unpredictable it appears random”. “Appears” is such a key word here, because when you search deeply enough into Chaos; you find everything is in “a state in which everything is in its correct or appropriate place.” However, keep in mind there are limits to our ability to find Order in Chaos. Let’s look at natural selection as an example. Even the name is an oxymoron. It’s essentially millions of variables working with their own individual purpose that produce something that is just perfect enough to survive it.

So, this interesting stuff and all, but what are you trying to say?

Thanks, my fellow impatient skeptic, now we talk about religion… No, don’t leave yet. Trust me, its going to be useful.

The Seven Deadly Sins

Before I go into detail of each deadly sin, I want to make one thing clear. The less Chaos in your life the better. This may be true, or false. There is no way to truly know. This is about minimizing negative and chaotic circumstances that may otherwise “appear” random. If this post does well, I’ll make sure to do one about maximizing positive and chaotic circumstances that may otherwise “appear” random.

Deadly Sin Number 1: Pride

pride

noun

1.

a feeling or deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired.

As defined once again by Google, Pride is about finding pleasure in your achievements. There is nothing wrong with that. However, theologically speaking, pride is defined by “excessive” pleasure in one’s own achievements. A big part of indulging in that pleasure is that it shapes your perspective to an irrational one. The irrational perspective is that you are better than others. Now, in itself, it seems harmless. However, it becomes harmful with how it influences your actions and behaviors. When you indulge in Pride too often or too much, your environment changes around you.

Those who you once considered friends, now think of you as a condescending prick. You can no longer rely on others to help you with work, as they find you never share the credit. You no longer ask for help from others as you fear the weakness it might expose. You no-longer learn from your failures and you blame bad luck for your misfortunes. Not only do you stop growing as a person, but all that you work for slowly crumbles.

Deadly Sin Number 2:

en·vy

noun

1.

a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck.

Envy is essentially another word for jealousy. I don’t think I need to dive to deep into this one, as its pretty obvious the affect jealousy has on one’s environment. Much like Pride, it makes you irrational. You distaste someone for having something you don’t have? What if there is a reason, they have it and you don’t? Would you be willing to learn from someone you distaste? I think a lot of us can relate to this one. As it manifests itself from insecurity. A lot of us used to, or still Envy the “Chad”.

Another aspect of Envy is finding joy in other people’s misfortunes. It aligns itself much with Pride, and although Pride can turn away those who might otherwise support you. Envy will bring down those around you, and you will find yourself alone and sad. Crabs in a bucket am I right?

Deadly Sin Number 3:

Wrath

I feel like this one is pretty obvious. I’m not going to dwell on it. Wrath is essentially acting out your anger. Acting out your anger will never benefit you and can very easily leave you in prison or the hospital.

Deadly Sin Number 4:

av·a·rice

noun

noun: avarice

extreme greed for wealth or material gain.

Greed is again much like pride. It’s centered on a belief that you are better than others. You take more than you need. I feel like some people might disagree with this being an action/behavior that can negatively change your environment. Much like Pride it is acceptable in small doses. Imagine that time where you charged your friend 5$ for gas money to take him down the street. You didn’t need that 5$, shit it was probably 30 cents in gas.

So, let’s say your argument was “I don’t want my friends taking advantage of me, and that friend was someone was always using me for rides”. Now in that argument who was the greedy one? Maybe your friend has a reputation for using people. Maybe you should have just said no.

Regardless, both of you lose. Your “friend” will speak to others about what a cheap fuck you were being, and you’ll defend yourself by telling others he is a mooch (Someone who begs for things all the time). Both of your reputations are tarnished, and your reputations will affect how others interact with you, and this is how greed in such a small form can cause negative chaos in your life.

Deadly Sin Number 5:

Sloth

Like Wrath, Sloth has a very similar and very obvious negative impact to yourself. Its about being lazy but, also not taking responsibility. It’s a very broad thing, and manifests itself in a many number of ways. I don't think i need to go into detail with this one, but if you would like to know more, drop a comment.

Deadly Sin Number 6:

Gluttony

We all know what happens when you eat to much. YOUR SMV DROPS.

Deadly Sin Number 7:

lust

noun

1.

very strong sexual desire.

Welcome to the fucking Red Pill, and READ THE FUCKING SIDEBAR

PS: If my remarks on "Lust" makes you thinking I'm shitting on the Red Pill, its more about why 99% of people come to the Red Pill in the first place.
