I find it rather odd that there's been a push in recent years for men to show their feelings and vulnerability. They are told that it's ok to do this. Yet at the same time, women almost always lose attraction to a man who shows his feelings or shows vulnerability or opens up about his issues/problems.

I've never once heard a man say he has opened up about his issues to a woman or shown a side of vulnerability and the woman has become more attracted to him. All the stories I've heard, the woman has lost her attraction and sees him as weak and unmanly.

On the other hand, men are usually accommodating of a woman's issues and even the biggest female trainwrecks will have a number of white knights who are willing to listen to her, provide comfort to her and solve the issues she's having (if they are solvable).

It's rather strange because there has been a push for men to show their feelings more, yet this is what happens when they do. How come women lose attraction when men do this? And what do men here think about this? Any personal experiences are welcome.
