The subject of feminism recently came up in a group discussion with some friends, during which my girlfriend remarked that she considers herself a feminist. When I asked her what feminism meant to her, she responded that it was about equality between men and women. That women are equal to men and can do anything a man can do and should have equal rights and opportunities. "Great", I said. "I can support that."

Later that evening, while enjoying dinner and a movie on my couch, we came down to the last slice of pizza. After we each expressed our desire for it, I offered to split it with her. She stated, and I quote, "I'm the girl, 1IM. You should give it to me because I'm special." Without missing a beat, I said, "No you aren't. We're equals, remember? We're splitting it."

The look on her face was absolutely fucking priceless. It was a half smirk, half "oh fuck" look. The kind of look a child gives you when he knows he just got caught, yet he's completely amused with himself for almost getting away with it. She tried to turn her head away as her smirk turned into a ridiculous grin, but it was far too late for that. She was busted and she knew it.

We split that slice of pizza down the middle, finished our movie and then she was all over me. The sex is always amazing with her, but it was even better that night. There was an extra something about it that wasn't there before.

From now on, I'm going to give my feminist girlfriend exactly what she claims to want: Equal treatment without exception. I wonder how much time it will take before she decides she would rather be a special snowflake again.

TL;DR: You can't have it both ways, ladies.
