I was thinking about this the other day. Over the years, women have become more and more masculine - both in terms of their behaviour and their looks. Many of them participate in very male activities - drinking a lot, having lots of casual sex, being quite loud/bossy/rude, not cooking or doing domestic duties in the way they used to etc. We have the feminist movement, which encourages women to act like men. Equally, many women look very masculine as well. I don't mean actually looking like a man, but I mean a less feminine/delicate face and body, and a more masculine one (while still looking like a woman).

This leads me to believe that these women need an EVEN MORE masculine man to feel attracted to and really get the tingles for. This is why we see women with such stupidly high standards these days - because there are not enough hyper-masculine men to satisfy their own high masculine looks/personality. However, when I've actually seen a man who is genuinely masculine (usually they're on steroids), women do give such men a lot of attention.

Basically, the more feminine/less masculine you are as a man (in terms of looks and behaviour), the smaller the pool of women you have available to you. Women are not attracted to feminine men. And since women are much masculine now than they were 40-50 years ago, they need a man to be relatively more masculine than them in order to get tingles for him.

I've observed this in real life - women with tattoos, who smoke and drink a lot, need an incredibly masculine man in order to feel sexually attracted to him. Older women (who have more testosterone, less estrogen) need more manly men to feel tingles for. Consequently, feminine women (who are quite rare) can be attracted to less masculine guys.

tl;dr Women are more masculine/manly these days (due to feminism/changes in hormones) and require you to be 1 or 2 levels above her masculinity level in order to feel sexual tingles for you.
