How dumb do they think we are?

My take on this phenomenon has always been that women are not lying when they give this bad advice. It's simply that the portion of our brains that is the seat of our personality and is capable of speech isn't the portion of the brain that is making choices about attraction.

So when a woman says, "X is sexy" what you should hear is, "the rational part of my brain, which can hear that question and think of an answer, claims that X is sexy - however, the part of my brain that's actually in charge of attraction doesn't speak english and didn't even hear the question."
