Proud to christen this sub with a few thoughts/questions on TRP and the nature of religion.

In John Krakauer's excellent book Under The Banner of Heaven, he says that Mormons will make up something like 15% of all Americans by 2040 (pulling this statistic out of my ass, but the point is that it's a large percentage.) It's no secret that Mormons encourage traditional gender roles and prolific procreation, so it makes sense that they're one of the fastest-growing religions in the world.

To me, TRP and religion seem very, very linked to one another, because many religions unknowingly hold very Red Pill values.

My questions for you guys are:

  • Which religions encourage/enforce Red Pill values the most?
  • For the atheist/agnostic Red Pillers out there, would you look past your lack of faith and join a religion, solely for the firm grounding in morality/traditional gender roles/community values?
  • As a thought experiment: What's to stop us from creating our own Red Pill religion? I think a dope name for it is Blood Theology – it would focus on linking the chemicals and hormones coursing through our veins with a higher/divine purpose in life, 100% informed by RP tenets. "Theology" is a pretty heady/cerebral concept, but "Blood" is something we all share. Blood Theology would focus on the link between our genes and our higher purpose – the in-between space that we all occupy between our genetically-programmed imperatives and our higher callings as men.
