I've been reading some of this literature and I've read some of the famous ones like teachman 2003 and the heritage foundation study. However, I've been paying close attention to the covariates accounted for and I'm not satisfied. For one, I've never seen a study that accounted for cheating. Of course, one would expect that if partner count did lower bonding, then adultery should be more common. However, people with higher sexual desire who are more likely to cheat would likely have more sexual partners too. So I've yet to see a study accounting for this. Anyone got links?
