Let's face it. Working out is easily the most grueling part of the Red Pill.

Reading those pick-up guides, and sex tutorials makes you feel like a winner- it almost gives you the gratification without the work. Some men may not find it easy to kill their approach anxiety and start talking to women, but once you get the hang of it, that shit's fun.

And then we have to pull the rug out from underneath you with one simple fact- you're not gonna get the big numbers if you don't lift.

There aren't really any motivational quotes for this, like the "it gets easier" guy from Bojack Horseman. The whole point is to constantly make it harder on yourself, to push yourself to improve. Plus, you won't see the results right away. I've been at this for almost a year and I'm still firmly in the '7' tier. (Entirely my fault, for thinking lifting could excuse my eating habits.)

So why do I keep coming back? Because I'm a masochist. I've learned to love the pain and take pleasure in it through several techniques that I think might be helpful to you guys.

1.) The more punishing the workout, the bigger the testosterone rush.

I wish more hot girls went to my gym because as I come back to the lockers after a tough workout, I feel more confident than at any other time. I take a minute to flex in the mirror, and see my progress. When you learn just how good this high is, it makes it much easier to give yourself that extra punishment to get that satisfaction.

2.) Associate your favorite music with working out.

As many guys here will warn you, music is a way to derive satisfaction without doing any actual labor, making it akin to porn or video games. Personally, I use it to stimulate my creative nerves by imagining music videos I would create, and ruminating on the narratives of the work I listen to. (I have very niche tastes.)

Whether you still struggle with music, or you listen to it in safe, moderate amounts, put it on when you're doing sets. It motivates you while you're in the set, and reminds you of it when you're out of the gym. This normalizes the gym to you, and makes it feel more welcoming.

3.) Gym day is the only time it's okay to eat sugar.

Now that I'm watching what I eat, I make healthier choices. One important change I made was drinking more milk and water instead of juice, and eating eggs for breakfast instead of cereal. I also stopped eating copious amounts of ice cream after dinner each night. (I'm only just now realizing how much I should've done different since I started working out and it's making me cringe!) If you constrain yourself to eating small treats only on workout days, not only is it better on your diet, but it's also better to motivate you to get through the workout. Don't even give yourself the option to cheat. Set up mental blocks in your mind- I will not eat sugar foods until I have lifted heavy steel.

4.) Have a good gym to go to.

I'm really rather fond of my gym. It's close by, it has great facilities, it's new and renovated, and it's dirt cheap because it's a public rec center. All this makes it far more welcoming and refined, making it easier to walk through those doors. Now, don't be overly picky with your gym- if you're really not sure which one is a right fit for you, do a few workouts there before you make a decision. Sometimes, the best one is just the one you're most used to.

5.) Post pics to social media.

I use Snapchat pretty much exclusively for schoolwork and posting shirtless pics. It's pretty satisfying to get 6 or 7 screenshots, and doesn't take much effort. True, this is the same danger I talked about with music, but if it helps get you into the gym and pumping iron, does it matter? The reason you're doing it is to get chicks anyhow, and I have a lot of girls who see my story regularly.

(Do note however, you will need to become decently built for this to work better.)

Hopefully, these tips should help you learn to associate pain with pleasure and embrace the iron!
