Why IQ matters more than grit

I see it more as a loop, or a feed-loop. Then as: enviroment is everything.

I think they feed on each other, most likely.

It's like. You're born genetically with a smart/good brain. So high IQ, leads to doing well from the start with learning, leads to postive reinforcement, leads to higher IQ, leads to doing more learning, leads to postive reinforcement, leads to higher IQ, etc...

But without the high IQ from the get go, or potential. The feed-loop wuld had never started.

It's the same as with a good looking Chad, in relationships to game, confidence and so on.

Like: Chad having good looks, leads to getting postive feedback when being social, leads to increased self-esteem and enjoying being social, leads to better social skills, leads to getting more postive feedback when being social, leads to increased self-esteem and enjoying being social, leads to better social skills, etc..

But without the Good Looks from the get go. The feed-loop would had never started.

Because if it was mr Ugly. the process will be like: mr ugly having bad looks, leads to getting negeative feedback when being social, leads to lowered self-esteem and less-enjoying being social, leads to worse (or stagnant) social skills, leads to stopping..

And because if it was mr. low IQ brain. the first process would be like: low IQ, leads to doing bad from the start with learning, leads to negative reinforcement, leads to little or no improvement in IQ, leads to disliking doing more school-learning, leads to stopping school asap.. (and hopefully being practically very handy and great)
