Monk mode. A topic that's been discussed a lot on here in the last years. Some people say it's bullshit, others say it's the best thing for one's growth.

I'll tell you what I experienced in the last 1-2 years of my self-improvement journey. Was it a complete monk mode? Kind of. According to IM's definition, Monk Mode is a period of time where you dedicate yourself completely to just one thing: self-improvement.

One might say, why not to improve and simultaneously live the social life? And that's right. You can do both, but is it as effective as being 100% focused on just your self-improvement? Probably not.

From my own experience, doing a complete monk mode, is like doing self-improvement on steroids. You are focusing on improving yourself for 3 months. And you are accountable to yourself for that.

So what happens?

You disappear from the world. After a few weeks, everybody will ask about you. "Where did he go?", "Is he dead?", and then you'll know something they don't know: you are moving up in the social hierarchy, while they are remaining stagnant. While they are entrapped in this world full of distractions, you are focused. You know where you are going and every day you are moving towards your goals. Every week you are more buff than you were the previous week. Your lifts are going up. Your business is growing. You are on your purpose. Nobody can fucking stop you.

And you'll hear the naysayers say "You should have some rest!", "Have a beer!" or "Party sometime!". Do you agree with what they say, or hold frame and keep grinding? I hope it's the latter. And beware, this is the only way to keep going. You'll meet many people who will try to hinder your journey of self-improvement. People do not want to see you improve. They only care about themselves.

What's more awesome than to go out after having been in monk mode for 2-3 months? Personally, nothing. You think you missed out a lot during this period, while in reality nothing really changed outside in the world. But you did. Your value has increased. You are now more valuable than you were 3 months prior. Girls give you more IOI's. People you knew are surprised you got this big. Some will think you are on steroid. While everybody else is still there, on Saturday night getting fucked up with booze.

This realization is one of the most fulfilling thing I've experienced in the past years.

What's more interesting, is that after a monk mode, your self-esteem grows. Your standards for chick increases. Now you are the fucking shit. They have to fight to get you. There are very few people who dedicated themselves to such self-improvement. Let's be realistic, how many people do you think they even know about this shit? the 0.01%, maybe?

And that's why you should monk mode.

I hope I helped someone with this post. Thank you.
