This is something I've never understood. Women will have sex straight away with big, tall, muscular men who could easily overpower them or abuse them. They will invite these men back to their houses without barely knowing them.

But for an average non-threatening man, even if they've been on several dates and got to know him well, they say that they are "not comfortable" with inviting people back to their house. They say they "don't invite strangers" to their place without "getting to know them first". This has always confused me, because these men are decent people, often with jobs, hobbies and social lives, and look far less threatening than other men, but women are not comfortable inviting these men to their houses.

Is there an explanation for this?
