I'll start by saying that like always, there are exceptions to every rule. There is a million variables at play here like a persons native parental culture and socioeconomic class, where they grew up, individual social aptitude, etc. There's also no reason a person can't adopt a pill from outside their class and this post is very America centric. I haven't spent enough time in other countries to see how applicable this is

If you were raised in a LC/ WC / LMC community, your default strategy should generally be the Red Pill.

If you're from the MC to the lower parts of the UMC you were most likely raised to be Blue Pill.

If you came up UMC all the way to the UC, you're probably going to lean towards Purple.

Now, TRP that you see on the internet is NOT the exact same RP that is practiced in LC communities. The difference is the same as someone who was born in a non-western country but moves to America as a teenager. Even if they choose to assimilate, they will still have cultural remnants from the old country.

TRP in the lower classes is engrained from birth. My mother taught me not to "believe women" just because they're a woman. My grandmothers favorite saying was "Mamas baby, daddy's maybe". Even though we grow up watching the same BP propaganda, its not reflected in our upbringing or daily lives whatsoever. We live in a world of the Raw Red Pill. RRP is much more "natural" and primal than the internets version.

The middle classes primary strategy is the Blue Pill because in RP terminology, these people dont live in fear of "the sabertooth tiger". Being raised in a physically safer and more economically stable environment provides a lot more wiggle room for idealism. Along with this level of comfortability comes the time and excess resources to dedicate towards trying out untested strategies instead of relying on what has always worked. Basically, if you don't live in constant fear of economic and physical danger, you have a lot more time for experimenting.

This is also why so many internet Terpers go through such a severe anger phase. Not only were they not pre-hardened from fighting off "sabertooth tigers" their entire life, but finding TRP can be a major culture shock to them. Finding out everything you believed about women and sex was all fairy dust can be devastating. When I found TRP at 20-21, I was just annoyed that everything my parents and grandparents taught me about love, sex and relationships was the truth and not just some geechie mumbo jumbo.

Onto the upper parts of the UMC and the Upper Class. These people lean Purple because A) the traditional values and decorum they're expected to follow from the time they're children is a version of RP and B) they were born with "Fuck U" money so they can experiment as they please. The UMC/UC version of red is a Refined Red Pill (ReRP) that is based more on traditional values than actual survival, so its also very different from the lower classes version and the internets. Another part of traditional UMC/UC upbringing is being purposefully inoffensive and at least giving the illusion of being inclusive and accepting of other cultures or at least parts of it. So the UMC/ UC will often exhibit behaviors that differ from their actual beliefs.

This is probably a large part of why there seems to be a disproportionate amount of PPD posters who self-identify as UMC/UC and Purple, but will still argue tooth-and-nail with the Reds here. The ReRP has many similarites with the RRP and TRP, but is diluted by many BP and UMC/UC exclusive beliefs

Of course, all of this exists on a spectrum and there certainly are outliers but this still applies more often than not

TL;DR: Internet Red Pill (TRP) is just a reaction to the dominant Blue Pill culture of the middle class and is in some ways, equally unnatural. The Raw Red Pill (RRP) practiced in the lower and lower middle classes comes from the biological and social necessities of growing up in a more primal, high risk environment. The Refined Red Pill (ReRP), a product of the traditional values of the UMC/UC mixed with the Blue Pill likely come together to make someone Purple Pill
