Kind of based off the post re: Women being responsible for the "social decline". The common sentiment from male posters seems to both be "I don't want to wife up a slut", but also "Women should put out on the first date" (which would very quickly transform every dating woman into a slut), I'm sort of confused about what the alternative is.

So I'm curious --

What do ya'll think women should select for, that would "stop the decline"?

What criteria should women be looking for in men? What criteria should women reject a man on?

Lastly, how would it improve the greater dating market? Would women also benefit in this environment, or should the advantage be given to men?

(In context, I'm bi and mostly hang out with other bi/queer people, so a lot of the gendered stereotypes in dating just don't carry over very well. A lot of the stuff said around here sounds genuinely outdated and alien, to me. When men date both men and women equally, they pretty quickly learn that both can be tedious or excellent, based on the individual. So I'm kinda also just curious what "you straights" thinks an ideal dating situation would be. Because atm, if I'm interpreting what ya'll are saying correctly... the picture I'm seeing doesn't look all that fun or appealing for a relationship. I'm kinda hoping to figure out how much of this is just "poor advertising".)
