Here is a detailed write-up of the study.

It followed 1,037 men and 613 women, all mathematically gifted (top 1% ability), precisely the group from whom technological leadership would be expected to come, for 40 years.

What follows is no surprise to anybody who's take the RP.

MEN expressed strong preferences for a high salary based on merit/performance, an ability to take risks with their job, and working with "things,"

WOMEN, on the other hand, expressed strong preferences for "respect" in the workplace, flexibility in their schedule, clean working conditions, and low weekly hours.

TL;DR

Even correcting for the average differences in mathematical / scientific ability between men and women, there are still innate preferences for certain types of jobs and working conditions that will lead the two to have different career trajectories.
