So in light of the news that Jeff and Mackenzie Bezos are getting a divorce, there's been a lot of uproar surrounding how "their" wealth will be divided. Feminists had something to say about it(as always), and apparently they are pissed off because people are questioning the fact that she could get so much money out of this divorce.

So essentially, this article contests the common perception that the wealth to Jeff, and people see things that way because "muh misogyny". A feminist author they quoted claimed that women have to do more to be viewed to be equally competent as men.

Of course, the thing is, Mackenzie Bezos obviously did not do more than Jeff. According to their own article, her contributions hardly amounted to anything:

  1. Leaving her old life in New York so he could start his business

  2. Interviewing employees, writing checks, and helping keep track of some books. This was only when the company started out, and she stopped helping as the company grew.

It's obvious that Jeff could have very well have become successful without her, so there's no reason to think that she deserves a large payout from this divorce.
