So I've slowly been reading through Models by Mark Manson and one of the biggest things he harps on is your hobbies and getting out and about. He says, and I believe, that you'll have more success with women who are compatible with you through your interests (obviously). However, most of my interests are more male-centric. For example, jiu jitsu, stock trading, general business, algotrading, programming, lifting etc. He mentions if you force yourself into things that you aren't really interested and meet a woman that way, there will be friction in the relationship because you aren't being honest with your interests.

So the problem lies, should we be "stepping outside our box" more often and just trying things that we don't really like or just continue grinding and becoming greater at the things that we do like and crossing our fingers for great women to show up as a minority?

I'm at the point where I don't really care about lays or plates, looking more for a sidekick. I've had enough with multi night stands and spinning plates.
