RMV standards for women for marriage/relationships are generally the following:

  • Is he financially stable?
  • Is he mentally stable?
  • Is he a protector?
  • Is he competent?
  • Is he forward thinking; displays suitable FTO?
  • Is he ambitious?

SMV standards for women for "visceral sexual attraction" are generally the following:

  • Is he sexy? (sexy is some combination of the subsequent bullets)
  • Is he charming? (suave; or funny; or quirky; or witty; playful -- really whatever "charms" that individual woman).
  • Is he masculine? (depending on the woman this could mean confident /self-assured (Russel Brand/John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever) or it could mean respectably dominant/stoic (Clint Eastwood/Don Draper))
  • Is he physically attractive facially / attractive physical frame? (this also varies greatly from woman to woman tbh)

Sometimes I hear men say it's harder to achieve the SMV triggers for women.

Sometimes I hear those same men say, "Chad didn't have to work as hard as me to attract her into a relationship!"

Those guys are on one hand saying the SMV requirements are harder to hone; but then also saying the RMV requirements are more difficult to obtain.

The truth is women have higher standards than men across the board. An evolutionary consequence of birthing the next generation.
