If you had envisioned how marriage would be like (either as a general ideal before you met your partner, or during the dating stage with your partner), how different is the reality?

If there are massive differences (which could challenge some people a lot), do you think this is the reason for high divorce rates?

I also wonder if there's truth to the statement: "Men marry women with the hope they will never change. Women marry men with the hope they will change. Invariably they are both disappointed"
