PUA is probably just as "sexist," but less effective.

PUA is like casting Michael J. fox in a role meant for Arnold Schwarzneggar, while TRP is like casting /u/GayLubeOil in a role meant for Arnold. Much more believable to all who witness it.

TRP is a stew made from 1/3 PUA, 1/3 Conspiracy, and 1/3 MensRights.

If PUA is going to church on the major holidays, TRP is going to meet David Koresh & checking out his neat compound.

TRP likes to look down on PUA cause you guys live this shit. It's a central part of your identity. PUA is the JV squad. Screw that, PUA is the JV squad & you guys are playing D1 ball.

Implying "dread game" is not one of the tools most advocated by TRP.

Implying "hold frame" is not literally the most frequent advice given.

I am not involved in it, but AFAIK the community now explicitly shuns Mystery Method stuff like this.

Nah, I sorta dig PUA. They just get straight to the "dating strategies" part and skip the whole "women are emotional bitches who you can never trust" bit. There's plenty of creepy PUA guys and I think it's sad how deep into that culture some PUAs are but for the most part it's just actionable advice.

PUA is PickUp techniques , they're good at what they're supposed to be . I don't see how it's inherently more manipulative than TRP .

Also , PUAs advocate for real self-improvement too.

Actually, I think PUA is much better than TRP. PUA is about getting women to sleep with you, but there's nothing in there about hating women. Not that they respect women or anything, but they don't denigrate them or blame them for all of society's problems either. From what I can tell, PUA's don't slut shame or fetishize virginity. If a PUA manages to get a woman to sleep with him, he doesn't turn around and claim that she is now damaged goods.

pick up artists are just guys trying to get laid. TRPers are guys trying to get laid who also hate women and use a bunch of evo psych and bad science to try to justify their misogyny.

I actually have no problem with PUA, and I find pickup techniques/the psychology behind manipulation quite fascinating. It's pretty easy to spot, if you know what you're looking for, and it's fun to interact with.

PUA is straight up about playing a game to get laid. As long as you're not actually lying to someone (saying you'll date them when you have no intention of doing so, for instance), it's no harm no foul. TRP has misogynist philosophical overtones, and that's why I don't like it.

At least PUA is honest - they don't drudge on with the tedious, extrapolated moralizing to justify their actively seeking what both groups are ultimately after, which is pussy.

One is tactics which maybe a problem. The other is a hate group.

I've talked about the Game by Neil Strauss before and one of the interesting parts when going through is guys trying to game other guys, and how the psychology behind trying to hook up with women could work on anybody, and I feel that was one of the more fascinating parts of the book.

TRP understands women like the Klan understands black people and jews.
