I have been talking about this for a while, I thought I should create a post on this.

I believe that the sexual revolution had done much more harm than good to the majority of the world, I would say that the clear winners are the top 15% of men and a subset of women and all the rest are worse off.

It is a kin to wealth redistribution from all of the society to the top few.

A few points on why I believe what I do:

  1. Pushing the average marriage age by almost a decade has left ample time for top tier men to pump and dump lots of women who otherwise would of been married. These women become more bitter with age since this dynamic is toxic and degrading.
  2. People had become much less idealistic and romantic, if before men had viewed success as getting married and being family men, the focus has shifted towards sleeping with as many women as possible. This had happened because men always look to other successful men in the hierarchy and try to imitate them, such men now were no longer married but were hooking up with lots of women which had completely changed men's incentives.
  3. Surging divorce rates due to the above and loss of conservative values towards marriages.
  4. Surge in the number of single mothers due to the above.
  5. Negative population growth due to the above which under the current economic models could bring a major recession.

I am sure there is more, but you get the drift, and just to clarify I am a secular non traditional man and these observations occurred over time after thinking for a while on these issues.
