I grappled with this one for awhile (about 10 min). I tried to work through this logically with no bias.

There is no denying that men as a group are thirstier than women. Men made the majority of progress of our civilization until very recently in the grand scheme of things. Now it's as more balanced division between men and women although still not equal. A lot of that pursuit for men can be attributed towards trying to win women/provide for their families.

I know the sexlessness data has been touched on a lot in this sub. Thinking long term, if more men check out of society and stop being the cogs that turn the big wheel, the global economy slows down, innovation decreases, marriage rates continue to decline, social services take on a heavier load, taxes might go up etc. In addition with women working more, marriage being later, kids being conceived later, the more liberated populations are having smaller families. Taking care of the old of the previous generations will continue to cause more and more problems. The fertility replacement rate is a mess in a bunch of countries. Japan is going through this, China will soon, so will America. More traditional societies are well above the fertility replacement rate. I'm not sure if the ideals of the west will spread to them or the more traditional countries just start dwarfing the liberated populations and they end up winning the culture war. It might just be a stalemate forever who knows.

Either way the potential long term effects can have some seriously bad results. Whichever way the coin drops, be sure to enjoy it, and don't forget to save for retirement because social security is likely ducked.

Morally it might be better to have this liberated society, but economically and advancement wise, not so much. Whether you are for or against the liberation, the long term effects will be really interesting to watch. It could possibly work out or shit might hit the fan in a major way.

I guess my title is a CMV. I'll add a question for your guys too. Should we encourage the current western ideologies, or should we try to push it back towards the more traditional society from before?
