Why is it that men's problems are blamed on men and women's problems are blamed on society? For example if I were to bring up homelessness and how most homeless people are men or the high male suicide rates in the US, men immediately get blamed for those issues. If I were to bring up the increasing maternal mortality rate in the US, society gets blamed. You could argue that those men's issues are the fault of men, but you could also equally argue that the relatively high maternal mortality rate in the US are the fault of women, in fact I would argue it is based off of this source:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2621047/#B1

According to this source an obese woman is dozens of times (for some complications hundreds of times) more likely to develop a complication during pregnancy than a woman with normal weight is. Seeing that female obesity rates are going up every year, I don't think it's a coincidence that maternal mortality rates are also increasing every year in the US. Of course I've been called a sexist just because I'm blaming women for this issue, but if I were to blame men for their suicide rates, or their homelessness I would receive no such backlash. Why?
