Looks like that was a pretty stupid move for them considering they only got 83,000 up votes in 343,000 down votes on their official YT channel. I wonder if this is going to hurt them financially. I hope it does. In fact I hope their company just goes under. I say this in the kindest way possible, but people that make stuff like this need to be burned at the stake so to speak.

Not worth being butthurt over imo. Feminist world we live in. They can think what they please it doesn't make it so.

Some of the stuff in that ad is pretty douchey anyway. I don't want guys catcalling my wife going down the street...though most men wouldn't behave this way anyway.

I'll always encourage my son to westle though.

Getting mad at the ad is too much effort. Stoicism would advise us not to be phased by it.

Dollar Shave Club and all the other companies are killing Gillette's margins anyway. They were a dying brand before and are still dying now. This was a last ditch effort to see if they could garner any sales at all before they sell the brand I bet. They have been overpriced for years and will continue to be as the little guys steal more and more customers from them. Working closely with marketers in my day job, I can only bet that there were some interesting figures in the room that thought this was a great idea. Normally, these people aren't even the target consumer. Gone are the Don Drapers of the world. Oh wait....he was the epitome of "Toxic Masculinity".

I think what Gillette is trying to tell us is that.. ‘Fusion 8 blade razor’ is only for Boys. Haha. As a long time Gillette User I’m publicly boycotting Gillette and promoting Razors by Dorca for Men—- same razors as seen in the Dollar Shave Club.
