It seems every other r/relationship post (and women centered subs) have women claiming they were 'emotionally abused', often for years. Yet when they describe this 'emotional abuse' it usually amounts to, my bf forgot my birthday or he didn't put up with my bullshit.

In this case this woman leaves her boyfriend of a year who was planning on moving in with her in the near future.

In the first post she describes him as a great boyfriend who 'put up with her crazy': https://archive.today/1nHln

After she leaves him for her best friend and her boyfriend is devastated, she says she now realizes how 'emotionally abusive' he had been all along even if he did not know it.: https://archive.today/K8j2g

This isn't a 'real red type example' because the girl says she knew her 'best friend for years' but still had several 'shitty boyfriends' and he was always there for her. Pretty pathetic. She's only 20 so I think she's settling for him temporarily until she meets someone better. She'll settle again for him again when she hits 30.
