I would talk to your doctor about this! Ask for a full std panel blood test. There are chlamydia blood tests that should be able to tell you if you have the bacteria anywhere in your body.

While chlamydia is a common STD, it is also easily cured with antibiotics. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, unless you keep sleeping with the person who gave it to you if they haven’t also been treated, There is no need to feel blacklisted or even tell someone that you had it as it is cured and you cannot spread it. Would you tell a date that you had the flu last year?

I’m so sorry that this happened to you. Pls see your doctor, get well and stay well. Also, if you’re planning on dating afterwards, I think you should keep this to yourself men can be very judgemental so I wouldn’t mention that I had this experience to a man once I know I’m clean and he’s not at risk obviously. Just want to protect you from being hurt by this in the future.

If you are cleaned there is no reason to tell anyone. Not even the person that gave it to you because they will blame you and talk smack. One time I told two guys to check themselves before I got my results back, because the doctor told me to inform my partner. It made me look like the bad guy and a “dirty slut”. Good thing that in the end it just turn out to be a yeast infection and a UTI, but still for those two guys I will always be seen as dirty.

I once was positive, then negative with no treatment in between. I thought my test must have been fake positive, as I'd never had unprotected sex at that time, but who knows. It's weird.

Chlamydia is treatable. Dont be ashamed of something that can be fixed and don’t be ashamed of something that someone else gave you. It’s not always your fault. Some people are fucking despicable and care nothing for your health. I have something that can’t be cured and I still find love. So can you. It doesn’t make you any less of a person and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Once you've been treated, there is no reason to tell anyone about this. You won't infect anyone else.
