Modernity (Blue Pill) has a fairly simple model of reality.

The Blue Pill reality is characterized by Individuality and Equality.

We all talk extensively about Equality here on Red Pill and I don't need to go into what a farce that concept turns out to be, we already get it.

Individuality is tricky because it's a very fuzzy concept, but for Nietzsche (who holds a high position in Red Pill thought) he was clearly opposed to what he called the "Soul-Atomism" model.

Nietzsche viewed our souls as a collection of competing internal drives. This was contrasted with desires. The difference is much like the difference between wanting to pass on DNA (a drive) versus wanting to have sex. (a desire) Desires are easier to deal with than drives because they can be temporarily satisfied. A drive can only be satisfied when an objective result is attained.

Let me give a good example of how our souls can be broken down and divided into specific drives and desires. When we drink alcohol our brains start switching off thoughts. As alcohol increases in our system you tend to get tunnel vision and focus on specific thoughts. We allow certain thoughts to become "tyrants" over the rest that are inhibited. Our behavior follows a more narrow vector than if we were sober.

Nietzsche sees it as natural for us to have drives and to pursue them within the social hierarchy in which we live. Since others are acting on their drives everyone arrives at an equilibrium. This equilibrium is what ends up being the hierarchy.

The Alpha in a Nietzschean sense would be someone who can satisfy his drives.

A frustrated drive is often redirected and satisfied with a desire.

I'm just going to leave this hanging, but I think you can see where I'm going with this.
