Reddit is updating its content policies, finally answering for the recent anti-free speech turnaround to which we were subject under Chairman Pao.

It's ongoing but this caught my eye, as the section most relevant to us;

Similar to NSFW, another type of content that is difficult to define, but you know it when you see it, is the content that violates a common sense of decency. This classification will require a login, must be opted into, will not appear in search results or public listings, and will generate no revenue for Reddit.

Anybody want to bet that the admins consider us as within the bounds of common decency? No? Me either.

The bold text is what alarms me. How many of you found your way here through wandering the desolate roads of Reddit at Ungodly O'Clock, while wondering why your life was a fucking mess? After searching for "cheating wife" or "divorce advice"? No more of that. There's a wall that's going to be built around us, adorned with warning signs.

Only those who put enough time into Reddit to hear us mentioned with enough descriptive info (not just "Oh those shitlords at TRP amirite" + more gold than Fort Knox could store) will have any idea that we are a door, albeit a loathed and infamous one, to be knocked on in their quest for reality.

I just wonder if /PurplePillDebate will be walled off too.
