37 million user info is a lot of data. The sheer volume is it's own anonymity.

Now, if they were to start sending emails or letters to people then that might cause a stir, but the only people really interested in this info will be financial criminals looking to make a buck.

All the information needed to tell if a wife is cheating already exists. Their husbands just choose to ignore it in order to have peace at home.

Millions of men aren't going to go looking for their wife on some data dump.

And how exactly will they release this info? What site could they create that won't be blocked? Would Wikileaks really accept such data?

We might get a trickle of men who somehow find out but unless they create a website with a search engine of names and photos (all of which costs money and time) then how can anyone hope to sort through all that information?

That said, how many Chad Thundercocks might be suddenly faced with the consequences of their actions by an angry and well armed husband?

We are likely to suffer more attrition through revenge murder than population increase through men wanting answers of the RP kind.

I don't think too much will happen. Most bluepillers are so trusting of their wives that they would never even think to look their names up. Plus, those that confront their wives if they somehow do find out will be met with a stream of crocodile tears blaming them for being so unloving, and the males will end up feeling guilty about being so cruel when it was their skanky wives' fault for cheating on them. Its easy to laugh, but if this data gets leaked on 37m people, as a rough measure, when you take the U.S. murder rate of 4.7/100,000 or about 1:22,500 people, and apply it to this group, all things being equal that's about 1650 people who would probably have been murdered anyway. I know that's not rigorous, given other factors, but if this list does get out, it would be a reasonable bet that at least that number of people could be murdered as a direct result of jilted spouses losing their shit. I will be surprised if this amounts to anything. There is no way there are 37 mln legitimate user profiles (consider the duplicates, fakes, bots, etc) to start with. Then, I am betting that 90% of the sub-group of real user profiles are single males looking to get laid by cheating ladies. Of the remaining sub-group, if their information was leaked where would it be and in what form? If you think any person over 40 years of age is (a) going to know about this story and (b) have the ambition and wherewithal to check if their spouse is one of those leaked, you are dreaming. Finally, male infidelity rates are higher than female so I don't think this will be the huge vindication that OP and others are predicting/hoping.

It's kind of funny, the US has about 310M total people, but there are a lot of young and very old in there.

How many do you think are in the 20-45 or so age bracket? There's 205M in the 15-64 bracket, lopping that inhalf roughly, 102.5M total people?

And then 37M of that are on this? That is pretty laughable. There's of course a lot of people smart enough to not get on the internet who are still cheating too. And of course, not everyone is married either. I think something like 60% were married?

So let's say 45M cheaters out there, out of around 65M total married? Haha that is so pitiful.

The math is really rough here, I apologize. These are very rough estimates. If someone has the time to go through census data and get better numbers it would be interesting, but the numbers look atrocious with those estimates.

Not white Knight - the hack is a protest about the dishonest privacy policy. They were retaining personal info for deleted accounts, like Facebook and others have done over the years.

The impact here would be to guys who aren't getting quality sex from their wives. The small risk is that a suspicious wife will search for their name. The bigger risk is that extortionists will dox people on the list and blackmail them.

The number of real women on the site is grossly over exaggerated. There was even a successful lawsuit for one of their non-English versions where a woman successfully sued them for carpal tunnel from typing thousands of fake profiles.

It's pretty clear that this is just vanilla commercial blackmail, with an unusually salacious demand, and has little to do with white knighting.

The details of the extortion demands and the hack itself all point to a disgruntled former insider looking for revenge. For example, they name check the company's director of security.

From the user side of the coin, this is just more evidence, as if anymore we needed, that marriage is dead.

I don't see how the unveiling is going to be effective. Are they going to put all the names on a .txt file for the world to see? I guess there is some risk if the list is alphabetized which I would assume it would have to be, but only a few vindictive (or reasonably suspicious) spouses would even check. But wouldn't they have to CTRL+F that shit? That's asking a lot for most people.
