Not listening and asking him to repeat himself, especially if it is because I'm engrossed in my phone

I don't do it but my husband finds it really irksome that some of his friends' gfs/wives won't let them have hobbies, try to police them all the time or refuse to give their men space

My wife cannot stand it if she is not aware of every thought I have. For example if I think of a funny video or meme I saw during the day and smile or God forbid chuckle, she will nearly get mad if I don’t tell her the thoughts. I’ve tried to get her to see that she doesn’t want access to every thought, but she gets obsessive. It’s seems to me that it is insecure behavior, but I don’t know how to make her feel more secure.

Interrupting something were doing, (project, in the garage, etc) just bring the glass of water you were going to ask we wanted and set it in plain site and leave us be. Don't use it as an excuse to start a conversation or "ask a quick question"

Breaking our concentration to answer even a simple question takes about 20 minutes to remember where we were in the process of what we were doing.
