Summary: Living a minimalistic lifestyle is the true path to freedom. Owning nothing sets you free to explore and do meaningful shit. Try to live your life as minimal as possible without clutter or junk and you'll be happy.

If you are the average consumer, chances are, your life is filled with unnecessary bullshit junk that will drag you down to mediocrity. Hell, even if you think you are living minimalistically, you are not even close.

The truth is, you don't need to own a single thing in life. Absolutely zero. Nothing.

Here's a test for you, pack everything you own into 2 carry on luggages. I dare you to try it. If you can't, you aren't even CLOSE to a minimalistic lifestyle. That's right, you thought you couldn't live without your dumb-bell set and gaming console. Sell them all. Your expensive gaming PC you painstakenly assembled? it's obsolete in 6 months anyways. So get rid of it now and make some cash whilst you are at it too.

Besides finally having a savings account in the thousands (that shit is sure nice to know), I want you to get down to the very essence of being a man. You own nothing in life. Everything you own can be lost and the truth is, you won't even care that it has gone. Do you know how POWERFUL that thought is? Your wife who's giving you troubles. The job you hate, the car that keeps breaking down. They all don't matter a single bit. Why fight for it when you know, easier to let go.

Every RP man should know this by hard, nothing in life is permanent. So learn to let go. The benefits of letting go far outweighs the pain and struggle of fighting for things that, quite simply, don't matter in terms of your own sanity and happiness.

A habit is a routine to behavior. As an exercise, get into the habit of getting rid of everything you own and live minimally. From there, you will have adopted the proper mind-set of letting go which will spill over to other aspects of your life.

Lessons/Tips: I have no regrets selling things I haven't used for over 5 months. This is crucial to living free of clutter. Sports equipment, the boat, broken down shit, throw them all away.. Heck.. lots of things you are using now are complete time wasters and should be thrown away.

Buy basic clothing. Own 2 pairs of crew neck T-shirts in grey or black. A pair of selvedge denim jeans. Don't tumble dry them or they will shrink. work collar shirts, and a suit. Every clothing you own has to have daily utility. They should be able to mix and match. Don't see yourself wearing it again, throw it away. I absolutely detest winter. In-fact, since living minimalistically, I haven't been in a place for winter or I travel away from winter. Slowly phase out your current ward-drobe until you reach this level of minimalistic clothing. Remember, you want to cut your life down to basically 2 carry on luggages.

Don't keep memento and souvenirs. Take a picture, scan notes, archive it on your mobile, email and throw or sell it away.

If you own a house, sell it and move to something smaller or rent it out on airbnb and move to renting. If you are renting a big house, are you stupid? move to a smaller one and save the money to buy your own place. Why am I advocating you do the opposite of your living arrangement? Because this teaches you not to tie yourself to your belongings. You can always sell and start afresh.

If you have kids, Sure, you may have more items in your life now. The same principles applies. Everything they have should be fully utilised. If not, sell or throw it away. Abandoning your kids in the woods is easier than you actually think. Joking if you take it literally.
