I said it before and I'll say it again: seddit is now a complete joke, and we've become the new seddit somehow. Like you, I'm also curious about this influx of the root of this, but I have some theories.

When I first started lurking here nearly three years ago, every post had some ultimate message behind it that told me I had to improve myself or I would fall behind. I was 21 and had been actively addicted to the seddit side of self-improvement for the past year or so, but wasn't buying into the whole heavy peacocking, pay a PUA to learn shit side of things. Those issues have only grown since then over there, but I digress. Even still, I started going for wacky openers to stand out at college parties, and was having short term success. I could get laid, but it was short term, because the women quickly sniffed out the facade, and left to go find a real chad.

On the other hand, here was this subreddit finally giving me answers. Real answers about society and the ugly truth I didn't want to believe. So I forced myself to swallow it, and things began to change. For the first time, I cared about myself and not chasing average looking tail while dreaming about hotties. I finally started lifting for the sake of me and my rugby program instead of half-assing it as a status symbol so sluts would come home with me. I grew up, and grew big. I carried around a fucking ball to get better, and I actually gave a shit about classes. Although I already knew this subreddit had explained the truth about society better than anything had before, I wasn't sure if all the dating advice was going to be correct. Until it was. I ended up briefly seeing the hottest girl at my entire university thanks to a mutual female friend, and I wasn't even expecting it. I messed that up because my newfound success hadn't caught up to me yet; I was so distracted by self-improvement I didn't notice the 180 from a large majority of the female population about me. After her came a woman who was the best for me girl I ever dated, and for the first relationship in my life I never broke frame. Go figure, we never argued once, and things ended because we were graduating and moving different places. My first healthy break-up.

Since then, I've broken my collarbone (twice), and dropped from 205lbs to 145lbs. I almost gave up because I couldn't figure out what happened; I was still acting like the 205 lb successful guy in the real world and couldn't figure out what people didn't see. Then I came back here and took a real look in the mirror and realized a simple truth that is thankfully still the core philosophy around here: "you already know the rules of society; as a result, you have no one to blame but yourself." Im back up to 185. I've put on 15lbs, the majority of which has been muscle, in the last 12 weeks (now that my collar bone allows me to lift things again), by going to the gym for PT and weightlifting 15-20 hours a week. Sure enough, the society opinion of me is coming back, because my physical appearance has been returning. I've also gotten a promotion in those 12 weeks, because I'm finding success in every aspect of my life currently.

I've gone from spinning 2 low SMV plates at ~160lbs to spinning 2 medium and 1 high SMV plates in the last twelve weeks. You don't have to go lift to get laid, but it sure as fuck makes getting hot girls easier.

The reason I mention all of this though is because this post, my life recap, is what TRP used to be about. Self-sacrifice to generate self-success. Not just with women, but with everything. This subreddit was basically titled: "guidelines to becoming a 10% man." After all, that's why we have SO many categories of posts that are up at the top. I didn't come here to read field reports about your recent threesome, I came here to read some self-improvement story. I don't care about you banging two chicks, because caring about something that I'm not doing is about as blue pill as it gets. Save that shit for seddit. This reddit is for explaining everything you did up to that point, including lifestyle changes that potentially happened years beforehand. Not about the end result beyond a sentence or two. I come here to discuss female vs male psychology, lifting tips, dieting tips, lifestyle tips. To provide advice to new guys and soak in advice from the endorsed and vanguards. Always have.

I think a part of this dynamic shift in trend comes from the mods decision to make this primary focus of TRP primarily about sexual strategy and getting women that was made fairly recently. Guys like me and many other vets understand that getting pussy and higher quality pussy is part of the deal regardless. That part should be fucking obvious to everyone on here. However, I'm concerned this potentially confused new guys and recently new lurkers into thinking this is the place where you go to get instant success with pussy, failing to understand that blood, sweat, and tears that go into real success. You become a dark triad trait using alpha male, you will get women. More than you probably want. You'll chase unicorns until the real meaning of AWALT finally sinks in. Yet you'll still be so much farther than the men who just dream of ever getting laid more than once a month married and wasting away while people like us fuck their wives in cheap hotels.

We don't need every post here teaching you how to fuck Tom's girlfriend/wife. That should be obvious; go be Chad, go say hi and flirt with her a lot. Go be in a different tier of man then Tom. If you've done everything right, she'll likely come around. If not, who cares, don't get oneitis about a plate you don't even have yet.

If you need to learn how to say hi and how to flirt, that's what seddit is and always will be for. We aren't here to hold your hand because you grew up autistic. If you don't know how to be flirty with a woman, you aren't ready to be flirting with that woman.

New guys see this new policy and think that this is where PUAs meet up and go to get laid. This is not that place. It has a section for that, sure, but let's work on shifting back to that just being a section. This is a place where people come to vent about their wives cheating, where men who repaired their marriages by making their wives work to make them proud come to share their success, where men teach you the benefits of lifting, meditating, being friendly, being social, being dominant, steering a conversation, not watching porn every night before bed. Where red vs blue pill is depicted clearly in the media. This is where you wake up to the world around you. This is not where you come to get easy sex. That's the bar, or if you're smart and dodging rape allegations due to lack of commitment, that's an escort. Having success with women is just an additional perk, because you're finding more success at everything.

Your perception of reality is seriously fucked when your main source of gratification and self worth comes from being good at a video game. You suck at a game? Want to get better? Don't worry! In the real world you actually need your get off your ass to get girls. I go to Equinox, and although it's overpriced as hell (a bit less painful with a company gym subsidy), the best part about it is the clientele is completely the type that shuns the power rack / squat rack. In addition to what you mentioned, people don't want to believe that the basics can give them great results - they want to feel like they are doing something "extreme and different". They believe the pathway to getting better results than your average person is to do more complicated, "secret" things that will confer them some trump card.

The PTs always turn the sessions into cardio-resistance circuitry with needless variations because you're "toning and shaping the body while building muscle and burning fat" all in 1 hr using elite strategies. You're doing things that the average gym-goer doesn't know about, so surely you'll get results that others would think are impossible. Women in particular lap up this kind of thinking, which is why Equinox trainers and classes are pretty much full of milfy women.

Likewise, guys on here are in disbelief that the basics of game, SMV, and social skills are all you need to start fucking; the rest is just getting out and doing it. These are guys who have felt disadvantaged in getting girls their WHOLE life, so they think the remedy is to stay out of the arena until they can go in with some special toolbox, some elite strategy known only to PU sages and RP senseis. See, if the basics were all they ever needed, that would mean they were a chump ass bitch for never having figured it out on their own. So they have to believe that getting laid comes from successful application of high level "DT" strategies and becoming an expert at push/pull and learning sequences of lines.

I think if guys want help figuring out their weak spots and why they aren't getting laid, fine. Along with their post, upload two things - a picture of their shirtless torso and an honest description of how often they've gone out in the past month, how many girls they've talked to, and how many girls they've actually tried to close. 90% of people's pussy plan at that point will be to fix their skinnyfat betabod and set-up their life so they get more opportunities to talk to women, both through social game and through stranger game. Improve your aesthetics, lifestyle, and social game... and actually try to close the women in your life. I see this a lot GLO not just here. Hell 20 years ago I was surely one of them. Men are logical and analytical, we need systems, formulas, tools. Some guys just want the magic words and motions to get what they want, younger ones are especially thirsty for instant gratification as that is how they were raised I think. I think this is why nice guys and covert contracts are so common. If I do X I will get X. Well I guess that is kind of accurate in a way but the formula is much bigger and more complex. When you raise your SMV and social skills you can get women and make it look like you are a pussy hacker instead of a pussy beggar but you have to put in the work to get there. Nothing worthwhile in this world comes without hard work and effort to get it and/or keep it. The confidence and motivation you get from investing in yourself and making progress even if small steps pays off in dividends not just in relationships but career and friendships. Life is a lot more certain and enjoyable when you know you have your hands firmly on the reigns of you life and know you can handle it because you do it everyday. I know men who have bought into the PUA seminars and books and they showed them to me and described the courses, all of it is here for free with less BS fluff thanks to good mods. What we do here is set up an advanced curriculum. If I write 700 word essay on just one red pill topic, what the hell makes you think I can give you a 50 word summary? Why wouldn't I have written a 50 word post if the idea could be written in 50 words? And if it wouldn't help people generally reach their goals then I don't know why the fuck I would have even written it in the first place. These people fundamentally misunderstand what we do here at The Red Pill.

This isn't Ikea crap where you just follow instructions and shit falls into place. People and situations differ, but they differ within understandable bounds and if you understand those frameworks then you can do really well. PUAs are Ikea instruction people. The Red Pill is like giving you an engineering degree so that you don't need those instructions. We set up a deep and advanced curriculum so that you can really be an expert. Professors love when an interested and motivated student comes to their office hours, but they'll throw you out if you show up just looking for some basic stupid answer or trying to get them to give you the Sparknotes version of a class you missed.

Friends will see my results and want to follow suit. (Gym results mostly) but when it comes down to it, they simply don't try as hard. They are used to giving up. They believe there is some secret to being ripped or being rich. In reality, the secret is that there is no secret. Hard work is what is required. I went to the gym with a friend one time and his goal was to lose some weight and gain muscle. He spent the entire time on the elliptical (the bicycle thing, don't know what its called I never do cardio). At the end It said he burned 400 calories. I planned to go to subway for a foot long after the gym as im planning to bulk. He decided to get one too. I told him he would be consuming double the calories he just burned off. He still ate anyways.

Honestly, what's the point in trying anything if you aren't going to give it your all?

Personally I've found the most important aspect of TRP to be Frame adjustment. Maybe more of the newcomers need to read the sidebar (all of it). I was already "alpha" in the business/money sense before I found TRP but this posts (https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/2ykmhu/the_guide_to_accepting_yourself_even_when_women/) had a dramatic effect on me.

I find I'm much more relaxed with work, which allows me to be more productive and sleep a lot better!

My point is I don't feel that TRP is just about women, because just being a real man makes you so much happier and acts as a platform to continue from.

The barbell squat is a complex movement that requires a good amount of mobility and stabilization to be done properly, especially for the P.T. market, which tends to be de-conditioned. In addition to that if you are a personal trainer, you are held liable if your client injures themselves, that being said. I think 6 months of preparation for a de-conditioned client to do a proper barbell squat is reasonable

I had a feeling these so called PUA tricks and tips weren't viable for long term success. As someone who has been working towards a red pill life the past few months, the one aspect always stumping me was game. It's the only thing I felt was lacking. I consistently work out, make small talk when possible (not many girls around here in Scumter S.C. ) go hiking, cooking, etc.

However whenever I am referred to a "system" something inside me tells me it's pretty much B.S. and the end result that really develops out of it is the actual confidence doing all of that stuff with complete strangers actually gives you. I still find the need to improve my "game" but in the end, I think if I consistently work out, do interesting things, and just talk to people whenever possible I'll eventually get there I hope.

I'll be going to college soon so the "do interesting things" part might be seriously dampened by lack of funds unfortunately.
