A few of my buddies are actually going through this right now. After the Army they got into security contracting with companies like Blackwater/Academi or Triple Canopy if they were lucky. For a few years they were putting between $175-275k per year with nothing more than a high school diploma.

A few of them left contracting and reality hit them. The biggest difference between them and this chick is they went to trade schools or college and developed a new marketable skill. But I guess that's more work than making some bullshit "woe is me" YouTube video.

A friend did a lot of work doing security for aid companies, Protecting shipments for Red-Cross etc through areas of Africa. He earned good money for 2 years but probably half what other people have stated. He was a Infantry man in the British Army but didn't see combat until he moved into private security.

He also said he would never do it again after realising that unlike the army nobody is coming to get you when it goes wrong. You have no air strikes or a command who want's you home. It's just you, the guys you are with and a load of trucks filled with food.

This makes me think of my cousin he was a highschool football star and as far as his life is concerned that was his highest status . He often reminisces about How much of a beast he was and how the coaches adored him, how his teammates followed him , and how the women flock to him . It's sad actually. This is definitely the most common feature I observe with women as they get older, depending on the path they choose.
