It's the theme on the red pill that younger guys struggle with over and over and over again, missing out on the college experience and not exactly being in your peak during your college days. Even on here, we debate with whether or not college is as good as it is going to get for men in regards to access to women and fun.

Here is the one truth no one really tells you about college.

The vast majority of your college experience depends on factors out of your control growing up, things like how wealthy your family was.

Most of the times, the hookup culture and partying at state schools is centered around Greek Life. In order for you to be in a respectable fraternity, you have to be willing to pay thousands a semester at most schools. Most houses that are respectable will check to see your parents' salary and what kind of a background you came from before they consider giving you a bid.

The bottom line is if you didn't grow up around wealthy upper middle class kids, you won't exactly be in the best position to enjoy the college experience unless you are an athlete. I have seen some kids pull it off but they really put themselves out there and did some risky borderline illegal things.

I am sure there are guys on here who managed to have "the college experience" while coming from a poor family and not being in Greek Life, the truth is though, it is more of the exception to the norm. Most of the times, it is athletes and frat bros who get the college experience, rest of the guys are left out of it. College is not a fun 4 year fuckfest for the vast majority of men out there.

Life after college has a terrible basement but a pretty good ceiling.

I had the chance to experience a taste of both, being in a good house at a top 20 party school and moving to a fun big city and experiencing the party scene there.

Here is what I found, in college it's hard to be a complete loner, even the more introverted guys have some friends or some degree of social life. College has that great basement to it but the ceiling is not as great as you may think, especially not today with the campus rape hysteria. The top 20% guy in a major city is doing way better in regards to women and social life than even the top 10% guy in college.

The club promoter in a major city is getting way more action than the guy in even the best fraternity at the top party school.

On top of that, the top 20% guy in a big city has access to more than just bottle blonde sorority sluts, he has access to attractive women from all parts of the world and can easily raise his lay count. People don't realize that the college stud is mostly limited to sorority girls at best and if he sleeps around too much, word gets around and some girls start to avoid him.

Even if such a guy works a 9-5, if his looks are on point and he makes a decent salary, he can easily get on dating apps or get involved in various activities to raise his lay count as well as make some good friends in the process.

The possibilities are endless, the ceiling is higher, but the basement is hell.

Want to see how bad the basement is for life after college? Go read the countless posts by redditors bitching about life after college, you'll have your answer.

Most people can't handle it, they really can't, because most people want it spoon-fed to them. Most people do not want to put themselves out there, put effort into their appearance, or really try to succeed in the social realm. Most people are going to half-ass, give up, and tell the world how much life sucks after college.

The few who do make it and really push themselves, try various things, and build the ideal lifestyle will prosper and they will do better than even the top tier guys from college. Even that guy will have countless options to get with hot girls as well as meet powerful and top tier friends that can also help raise his social status.

That is the deal with life after college, you either sink and cry yourself in your utter misery or you rise above and enjoy that high ceiling.

For all of you who feel like college is as good as it gets, it isn't.
