This is an semi impromptu response, evolved into a post in place of several more detailed replies. I figure if it's "borderline not against Rule 0" to post "blame cultural marsixm" threads with zero practical value, one alternative theory shouldn't be a problem either.

 

Dedicated to the people who like to have an enemy, not the explanation.

 

Let's say we have an ideology of A.

Over the course of the "lifespan" of this ideology, humans make progress, both scientific and intellectual. This influences the ideology of A (faster or slower, mostly depending on how radical the new discoveries are). The influence on the ideology is not binary in nature - it does not replace the ideology of A with Z. Instead it creates branches, for the lack of the better term. You have the "traditionalists" that strictly believe in A and the "revolutionists" that grew up on A, but because there are new things discovered they feel compelled by reason to modify the A to accommodate for new discoveries. The "revolutionists" do not believe in Z, they believe in AB, ABC, ABCD and so on.

 

Processes like that can be traced in every part of human civilization that has to do with ideology, whether it's political, moral, economic and so on - generally the less materialistic the subject the more place it has for intellectual exploration. You cannot do this with science as much as you can do it with political systems, you cannot do this as much with political systems as with philosophical ones.

This process happens all the time in almost every part of what TRP considers a relevant topic - from pure sex, politics, morality, sociology, regardless whether it's about what TRP supports or is critical of.

Each of the ideologies evolves as a developed interpretation of the older one. So far this is fine and dandy, no harm done in exploring intellectual concepts. Or is it...

 

What happens when you leave "suffragists fighting for equal representation" to fend for themselves and not instill in them the need to confront their theories with how things really are? You get 2017 feminism, where it's ok to call for euthanizing and castrating men for being men.

What happens if you leave people who started with "equality for non-whites" without requiring for them to confront their new ideas with statistical data? You get SJWs who think whites should engage in martyrdom b/c they have an imaginary "privilege".

What do you get when you leave a group opposing Nazis for 100 years be, without requiring them to think critically? You end up with anti-fascists rioting b/c they don't like a democratically elected president.

What do all these 3 have in common - they stared as benevolent ideology opposing "evil", went through progressive evolution of it and step by step ended up in 2017 versions. How did they end up twisted like this? B/c they progressively, step by step, during the developing of "updated" versions of their ideologies lost touch with the OUTSIDE reality the ideology was based on, and instead indulged in mental masturbation centered on their ideology itself.

 

They REPLACED basing how reality looks like on evidence with basing it on how it aligns with their ideology.

They REJECTED anything contradicting the ideology as being morally evil.

They RATIONALIZED everything that was necessary for their ideology to survive the contact with reality.

Finally they RENAMED it, as the new-true-salvation-level-material.

2017 feminism, BLM-SJW and Antifa didn't end up like they did b/c someone told them to go and riot or make absurdly untrue claims. They ended up like this b/c the people who drive their ideology intellectually came to "progressively more EXTREME" conclusions instead of coming to "progressively more REALISTIC" ones.

 

On to the TRP relevant people:

Since the beginning of modern internet the "it's their fault" crowd ends up exactly in the same spot as the other one - in progressively more and more extreme versions of their ideologies. It cannot end in any other way b/c - as with the SJW ideologies - the ideology becomes the goal itself. The intellectual and emotional investment becomes too big, big enough to obscure and replace the reality completely, ingrained enough to be willing to reject BASIC reasons on basis of mere contradiction. The tinfoil crowd is - as are the SJW - righteously convinced of their genuine fight for higher, moral goal. This all leads to cutting the corners on what is acceptable, little by little, and ends up as riots or people making stuff up.

 

The Red Pill, as the metaphor suggest, is about exploring how reality really looks like. The core concept of TRP is rejection of explanations not based on reality, b/c by distorting the it, the fantasy based explanations prevent us from properly navigating in the real world.

Have that all in mind next time you decide to call for TRP to be "something more than sex centered", next time you call something a "RP knowledge" or "drop some RP truths". TRP is not a place to develop alt-right enemy-based-outrage ideology, TRP is not a place to indulge in blame-game or spew pure conspiracy bs as is sometimes the case.

Unless you want TRP to become an ideology onto itself, in which case I would like to "redpill" you on the fact that the movie you're basing the name on, was done by 2 trannies.
