In my post about 20 days ago, I wrote about how I lost my job, but decided to approach it with the RP mentality, basically accepting and understanding why they have chosen to fire me.

They said that the client had lower numbers than the company believed they would be, so they had to get rid of some personel to keep the KPI's high, you know. I was the first one to fly. I tell them I understand and that I would have done the same thing if I were them. I wasn't mad, I understood, but I did let them know that it surprises me and that in the current market I will have a really hard time to find another job, and I still have to pay rent and other costs to maintain myself. So, I asked them a favor, if they could check if they really have to fire me, or if they would have something different for me. Note that I was working for 2 teams, and none of the teams needed me as they said.

A week later I got a call from the company, saying that I can still work for another 3 months at one of the teams I used to work for, so I can look for a job in the meantime.

There is no benefit from working against getting fired. They have already set their mind, and by being a dickhead, you're only making it worse for yourself. Take it as it is, noone got rehired for swearing into the face of the one firing you. Instead, try to understand why they did it, find out whether it was you or just internal policy (I was the newest and youngest, and single). Sometimes, all you need is to understand and ask for understanding. You would be surprised how far it sometimes can get you.

The way I handled it, I saved myself from laggin behind on 3 months of rent and wasting my savings on being jobless. Now I still have an income, my savings are still intact and I can pay my rent, and I still can look for a job in the meantime.
