Recently news exploded surrounding serious allegations against popular astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson, based on a report from David McAfee on Patheos.com (an outlet I've never heard of). Tyson is currently having his name dragged through the mud due to allegations of sexual misconduct from two women. I'm not a fan of Tyson, and I wrote off the incident as yet another male supposed male feminist getting PoundMeToo'ed; "let him burn", I said.

Then I started reading Mr. McAfee's article.

I think these accusations warrant a little exploration, and will provide yet another educational moment as to why MGTOW philosophy--in name or not--has been growing rapidly (I predict that this sub will grow to over 80K subs as soon as Monday).

Strap in, gentlemen, this will be a long one, but worth the read.

TL; DR: Neil DeGrasse Tyson had an interaction with a woman in college four decades ago, and is now paying the price because of it.

BRIEF BACKGROUND

But before we get to the most recent article, we have to back up a bit, to a PREVIOUS allegation against Mr. Tyson, by a woman named Tchia Amet.

Amet, a musician who once studied astronomy at the University of Texas, where she met Tyson, wrote the following in a blog post in late 2014:

>I was a grad student in Astronomy at  UT Austin, the sam time that Mr Tyson was there...I wen to his apartment to visit like I did almost everyday. He was like my big brother, or so I thought.  He offered me a glass of water. I accepted a liquid in a cup made out of a coconut shell. I recall coming back to consciousness briefly, then next thing I remember is seeing him in the hallway the next day. I have lived in this nightmare for 30 years, and it stops today.

>I know this will be difficult for many of you to believe, understand or to know. However, know that this is the truth. Those who know me well can attest to the fact that I lived with undiagnosed PTSD of rat least 25 years.

In a recent interview on Patheos, Amet elaborates on the moment she came "back to consciousness briefly", claiming:

>"I woke up in his bed; I was naked… When he saw that I had woken up, he got on top of me and mounted me, and I passed out again.”

Why she chose to omit these graphic details in her original account is not explored by the interviewer.

That said, Ms. Amet will become very relevant as this post continues.

TWO NEW CHALLENGERS APPEAR.

Ms. Amet's spurious (to put it lightly) allegations have of course been tacked onto this new set of allegations, and may have even inspired them, as we will explore in Mr. AcAfee's article, which I felt really warranted a fisking for the benefit of this sub, and for normies who want to try and understand why why view the world that way that we do.

I will include much of the article below, interspersed with my commentary:

>Two more women, including a fellow astronomer, say Neil deGrasse Tyson is guilty of inappropriate sexual conduct.

>Dr. Katelyn N. Allers, Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Bucknell University, told me that she was “felt up” by Tyson at an after-party following a meeting of the American Astronomical Society (AAS) in 2009. AAS didn’t have a mechanism for reporting sexual harassment at the time, but Dr. Allers says she probably would report the incident if it had happened today.

Right off the bat, we see that a single incident in which Tyson is alleged to have "felt up" a woman at a party ten years ago is being used as a truncheon against the man and his reputation.

>The groping incident allegedly took place at an after-party following the AAS meeting in 2009, which took place in Long Beach. This was supposed to be a lighthearted social event to show that astronomers could have fun, according to Dr. Allers.

“Tyson was there, and he was dancing and drinking and all of that at the party, so a friend and I decided to get pictures with him,” she told me.

>But after the first picture was taken (above, left), Tyson decided to explore Dr. Allers’ tattoo. It features a realistic solar system that stretches from her arm to her back and collar bone area.

“After we had taken the picture, he noticed my tattoo and kind of grabbed me to look at it, and was really obsessed about whether I had Pluto on this tattoo or not… and then he looked for Pluto, and followed the tattoo into my dress.”

>Dr. Allers said her experience was public and didn’t rise to the level of assault, but that it did show Tyson was capable of some “creepy behavior.”

“My experience with him is he’s not someone who has great respect for female bodily autonomy,” she told me in a phone interview.

The picture in question is provided in the article, and is merely what appears to be an inebriated Tyson looking at Dr. Allers' arm. Although she is clearly allowing him full reign to observe her arm, the caption claims that Tyson "grabbed" her arm, continuing to frame him as an aggressor.

But did you catch that?

McAfee writes that "Dr. Allers said her experience was public and didn't rise to the level of assault, but that it did show Tyson was capable of some 'creepy behavior'". In other words, Tyson made what appears to be a sloppy and hamfisted attempt at flirting, and he is being smeared as a SEXUAL PREDATOR because of it, even though the woman herself states that it was NOT a sexual assault.

Tyson's crime here was flirting with an unreceptive woman, a woman who would go on to spread rumors about Tyson and further tarnish his reputation with other women behind his back:

>Dr. Allers couldn’t have reported the alleged incident to AAS at the time, but she didn’t keep quiet about it, either. I confirmed with Dr. Michele Thornley, an associate professor of physics and astronomy at Bucknell, that Dr. Allers told her about Tyson’s behavior in 2013 when he was scheduled to speak at the University.

“Yes, Katelyn spoke to me about her earlier incident–I don’t think we discussed exactly what year it happened, but I knew that it was a few years earlier than our conversations about the matter.  Katelyn described the earlier incident to me in the fall of 2013, after she was invited to attend a dinner with Dr. Tyson when he was to be on campus in spring 2014 as a speaker in Bucknell’s “Tech/no” series.  I had recently served on a university committee with one of the organizers of the series, so I arranged to meet with that person and indicated privately that Katelyn did not wish to attend the dinner, and spoke in general terms the reasons why. At that time, Katelyn expressed that she did not want to pursue the issue more publicly (e.g., broadly inform the organizing committee, or try to get the invitation to speak withdrawn), so I talked with the organizer privately about two things: (1) to be sure that Katelyn was no longer expected at dinner, and (2)  some general recommendations to avoid having female students meeting with him in small groups without additional members of the community present.”

Gentlemen, when you are at work, or at a work-related function, if you cannot avoid interacting with women, then do everything you can to keep any conversations as mundane, polite, and professional as possible. Make no physical contact, make no jokes. Otherwise you may find your reputation being destroyed without your knowledge.

Dr. Allers, based on her opinion of Tyson's "creepy behavior", is poisoned the well against Tyson, not just among peers, but among students also. This is a version of a whisper campaign at work.

>Dr. Allers didn’t feel like she was in danger during her encounter with Tyson, but she did describe it as “uncomfortable and creepy.” That interaction also made her think twice about allegations brought by Tchiya Amet, a musician who says Tyson raped her in his apartment when they were grad students together.

“I think that he is someone that could use his position of fame and power in a way to try and take advantage,” Dr. Allers told me.

If you are a man of any prominence, you will automatically be in a position of "fame and power", and thus seen as at "advantage". Any professional interaction with women should be viewed through that lens at all times, and you should adjust accordingly.

Also note here that the original allegations of Ms. Amet resurface, just as unsubstantiated and spurious as they've ever been.

The article continues:

>As if this allegation wasn’t shocking enough, it came within days of my interview with Ashley Watson, a former assistant to Tyson who says she was forced to quit her job due to his inappropriate sexual advances.

An awkward attempt at flirting, during which the recipient of the flirtation claims she did NOT feel threatened, is NOT a shocking allegation. The writer, David McAfee, knows this, which is exactly why he must frame the allegation as such.

>Watson worked directly with Tyson for several months. She says that, during that time, he put her in an uncomfortable situation by attempting to persuade her into sex, and demonstrated his “predatory tendencies.”

Uh-oh. Based on what's written here, vague as it all is, this sounds pretty bad. What does Ms. Watson have to say about all this?

In hindsight, there were red flags that she “chose to not pay attention to,” Watson told me in an interview.

>Specifically, Watson said Tyson occasionally made “misogynistic comments,” and that he kept a list of overweight actresses on his phone to prove that women aren’t inhibited by portrayals in the media when it comes to health and fitness. He allegedly said it was untrue that women feel pressured to be skinny based on societal standards.

Nothing.

She has NOTHING to say about this, other than nebulous claims of "misogynistic comments". Yet this passage itself reveals the ideology behind such claims, as one can easily infer that in Ms. Watson's world, a man disagreeing with a woman's perspective is tantamount to misogyny.

What follows in the article is Ms. Watson's harrowing tale of narrow escape from evil sexual predation:

>Watson says she had been working directly under Tyson, who called out Trump in 2016 by saying he would grab him by the crotch when they met, and that they got along well. That all changed, however, when he invited his underling to his apartment at around 10:30 P.M. to “share a bottle of wine” and “unwind for a couple of hours.”

>Watson, who said she felt pressured to impress her superstar boss, told me she agreed to come in for a glass of wine instead. Upon entering his apartment, Tyson allegedly took off his shoes and shirt, remaining in a tank top undershirt. Unfortunately, the night only got more awkward as Tyson, who is married, reportedly put on romantic music and replayed the most graphic parts.

>She says Tyson soon brought out a cutting board and a knife to cut blocks of cheese that he decided they would share. But before slicing the snack, he allegedly gestured toward her with the knife and made a comment about stabbing.

>Watson says she took the comment as a bad joke, but it’s important to note that this type of “joke” is exactly what people in power need to keep in mind when dealing with subordinates. And it set the stage for a night filled with subtle intimidation and sexual advances.

“It was definitely a very weird power move,” she said.

>Watson says Tyson started talking about how every human being needs certain “releases” in life, including physical releases. He reportedly mentioned how difficult it had been for him to be away from home for several months.

>Watson says Tyson asked her if she needed any releases, and she responded with a story about sexual harassment she endured in the past. It was a smart way to diffuse a tense situation, but she says he was unfazed.

It was like talking to a wall,” Watson said.

>She was getting up to leave when Neil allegedly stopped her, saying he wanted to show her a “Native American handshake” he knew. That involved holding hands tightly, making eye contact, and feeling for each other’s pulse, Watson told me.

>When she broke off the awkward and incredibly intimate handshake, which he allegedly said represented a “spirit connection,” she attempted to just get up and leave.

>Tyson then allegedly put his hands on her shoulders, and said he wanted to hug her, but if he did, he’d “just want more.”

>Watson says she left Tyson’s apartment quickly after the inappropriate sexual comments and that, the next day, she confronted him because she felt he had betrayed her as a mentor. He reportedly told her in that meeting that she’d never rise through the ranks in her career because she was too “distracting.”

Watson went to Tyson's apartment in the middle of the night for drinks and "unwinding".

Despite her obvious Feminist bent, the Strong and Independent Ms. Watson could not bring herself to turn down her superior's CLEAR proposition, and as result was subjected to Tyson's Venusian Artistry, from which she extricated herself without incident, and she later left her job.

REVISITING TCHIYA AMET

It's worth noting that both Dr. Allers and Ms. Watson knew of the allegations levied by Tyson's original accuser, Tchiya Amet; in fact Ms. Watson has even contacted Amet, as detailed in the article. It's also worth noting that neither Allers nor Watson was willing to publicly endorse Amet's accusations. Additionally, upon visiting Amet's personal blog, one might question her intellectual faculties, and she makes no secret about her unstable emotional condition, which apparently manifested as a result of her "undiagnosed PTSD" from her encounter with Tyson.

And even still it was Amet's initial, completely unsubstantiated allegation, that not only validated the assessments of the other two women of Tyson as a "creep", but helped formed the foundation of his present character assassination. Journalist David McAfee was able to spin this Promethean accusation into something greater, and now Neil DeGrasse Tyson is likely going to be destroyed because of it.

TAKE AWAYS

~If you teach, mentor, or hire a woman, she becomes your "underling", and anything you do that she finds offensive can later be used against you in her portrayal of you as an aggressor or a predator.

~Do not interact with women at work-related social gatherings. However if you must, keep the conversations brief, polite, and utterly boring. Do not touch them, unless you're shaking hands. Even then, keep it firm but brief.

~DO NOT SHIT WHERE YOU EAT.

~No sexual assault needs to have taken place in order for you to be destroyed by sexual assault allegations. Tyson flirted with a woman at a party, and failed to seduce a co-worker (who was already indoctrinated into the prevailing misandrist worldview), and this has been spun by the press into "shocking allegations".

~AWALT. It doesn't matter if the women are basic bitches working the floor at PayLess Shoes, or educated PhDs with high IQs--they are still women, enjoy all the social privileges therein, and they suffer from the same classic emotional hangups. It took a stripper to malign the Duke LaCrosse team; Matrress Girl and the UVA Accuser were unremarkable college kids; Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is a psychologist; THESE women are SCIENTISTS. It does not matter what level of education, intelligence, or class they or you possess; they can still destroy you and will be seen as credible.

And finally, as if it needed to be said--

Go Your Own Way.
