They want what other women want because they're incapable of independent thought.

Talk about demographic psychology.

There's a term for that... #npc

Holy shit. All women are NPCs
[–]Jarin014 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Essentially. The whole NPC mindset is just the standard female mindset. Male NPCs are just feminized men who have either been raised by single mothers or who are desperate for female approval.

“I have a girlfriend.”
[–]Playstation_56 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Unless they know the gf, in which case it's "your man was trying to pick me up" texted as if they are doing the friend a favour instead of boasting

Told a girl at uni my roommate had a girlfriend and she rushed of and slepted with him.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 this guy psychologies...
[–]SirNickClegg9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
I don’t know about that. I think it’s more that they know they can’t replace the mother if he lives with the mother.
[–]cncdanb13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Or is it that if you live with your mother you are not financially attractive to them. Their little brains think the man lives there because he can’t afford to live on his own. Perhaps the reality is that he has a great relationship with his parents and he’s staying there as long as he can to accumulate enough money to pay cash for a house.
[–]generalissimo_jones6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I live with my parents because neither of them is very well and i have to do quite a bit for them and where i can afford rent is 45 minutes drive away.
I do want to buy some property in the future though.
[–]hrm08940 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good thinking, bro. You only have 1 mother and 1 father; women however are replaceable. Im going to keep my parents with me as long as i can.
[–]Brandwein2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I am in pretty much this situation; working while paying a bit of rent to live in our family house.
But why should i buy a new house if i can just inherit ours later?
I don't need one anyway without my own wife and kid.
If my parents are gone i will just continue living here and rent the rest of the house to other folks.
Right now im just accumulating money for pure entertainment purposes.
[–]Wade8562 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
My friend has this same problem with women, but with a twist. He owns his own house, a nice 3 br, 2 bath on a lake in a nice area. His mom, who has developed health issues with age, is living with him. Girls assume it's the other way around. It's frustrating for him because he makes good money, owns a nice house with all the toys...newer but not flashy car, awesome dog, brews his own beer as a hobby. But girls just can't get over the stigma of his mom living in the house, even tho She is living in HIS house.

The Chinese have a saying: one mountain cannot have 2 tigers.
I like that one.
[–]mp1110 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This isn't entirely wrong though. In the United States, leaving the nest is standard, and people who don't tend to be from other countries, have parents who are well off, or aren't financially secure themselves.
A lot of guys who live with their parents are introverted / socially inept individuals who barely take care of their own hygiene, let alone are capable of being in a relationship. Guys with wives tend to have their shit together, have their finances in order, and are social enough to attract someone else into marrying them.
I'm all about people being comfortable and secure with their own lives. If you still live with your parents for any other reason than you want to, handle that shit first before worrying about what other women are doing with their lives.

I moved out at 17 and moved back in at 35, just after the end of a nightmare 3-year relationship. My mother was beginning to show signs of Parkinson’s. Women want nothing to do with me even though they know I have to take care of my mom, and I’m saving the fuck out of some money. I could get used to this.

[–]cncdanb11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If women want nothing to do with you, then you’re a winner. What’s yours will stay yours.
Here you brother. Moved out in 1998. Moved back in with mum ten years ago, after my rss feed company failed and dad died. Mum need crutches to walk. Had 3 girlfriends in the time, but many woman ghosted me when I told them I live with mum. One wanted me to move in with her but with no sex. No to that. One was a alcoholic who had her grandparent raise her daughter in Poland. While out of that one. The one i had in 2012 was ok, poor i always bought the meals (actually that all me girlfriends whatever they earn). I got sacked for a bug and she ghosted me. Wasn't out of money, and got a job in 2 months. Been saving money like crazy, don't being single, but would have liked to have children.
[–]Muglz0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's a pity. I see nothing wrong with taking care of those who have raised is and are becoming more difficult to get around. If my fiance asked for either of his grandmothers to come in,I wouldn't be against it. But as I was abandoned by my own mother at age 4, it has left a bitter taste to me for mothers or women of that particular age group. But being raised by my grandparents, I'm fine with them.
[–]generalissimo_jones0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah. I'm living at home again because both of my parents are in poor health. I can't afford rent where they live and it would mean 45 minutes drive to get here at least once a day. Plus i still have to work as well.
[–]scruffyshoulders0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Same here. Moved to a new state to move in with my grandparents 8 years ago to take care of them as they got sicker and sicker in their old age. This afforded them more than a few extra years without having to sell the house and move into a shitty care facility. Now they have passed, but in the meantime, my mom had moved in to help with my grandmother as there were some things I couldn't do to help. Mom put up her house for sale, since it was not being used. Now that my grandparents are gone, their house is mine, but my mom remains as she is getting up there in age and could honestly use some help when it comes to financials (wasteful spending and debt), plus she no longer has a house.
Dating with my mother living with me is very difficult at 38. And if the girlfriend doesn't eventually ghost, I have the joy of explaining this situation to every single one of her friends when they ask me why I live with my mother. No amount of explanation of the situation ever satisfies them, and of course I'm labeled as the dude who lives with his mom, even though I own the house and my mother lives with me due to old age, no home, and low funds. Apparently taking care of your family is a bad thing in a womans eyes (unless you are taking care of her parents in your own home, like many married men, then it's totally fine). Really opens your eyes as to how selfish they all are.
Oh, and I live in a city that you don't need a car, plus I work from home, so I really don't need to waste money on a car. Uber ends up being cheaper. That's strike 2 when dating. They all want you to drive them around. Doesn't matter I'm saving tons of money, they want the ability to show off the nice things I own and for me to drive them around or run their errands. All things I was more than willing to do in my younger simp years. But no longer. Fuck em. GYOW.

You have a good attitude. In the end the key thing is that you are independent and would do amazing on your own, you have enough people that value you, and you don’t let yourself go.
I was in the same boat as you (Amazing, strong, selfless mother with stage 4 cancer). Following those three things led me to the closest I can get to my dream life.

Which one would be better for bragging to her frenemies?
A. Hooked up with this dude who lives with his mum .
B. Hooked up with this dude who's married, who already has a wife yet chose the whore.
Money, stability, tingles, it all comes down to 1 thing: Social status.
They are capable of living in caves if it means they are the 'queen bee', shit could be unstable as war and they'd be 'fine' as long as they let EVERYONE know that they are banging the 'most stable' general, ditto on tingles.
Learn that core truth, and everything follows.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
But that stability only lasts until his wife finds out, divorces him and takes the house.

[–]AfricanBushDoctor33 points34 points35 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's becuse the man who lives with mom is not guaranteed to have resources to support the "hand me everything for free because I'm a princess " lifestyle she's accustomed to, whereas the married man is guaranteed to be a reliable source of provision for her needs.
[–]Neutral_User_Name23 points24 points25 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
They go after men who are already in a relationship as the selection process has already been realised by the other woman.
Guys living with their mother are not "battle tested" (their sexual market value has not yet been assessed - therefore, they represent a higher risk).
I don't find there is much of anything witty in this meme...
[–]lakevapid27 points28 points29 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
This is more of a millennial woe. Due to rising costs of living vs. stagnated career opportunities, it’s become a financial strategy to live with the parents as millennials attempt to build their resumes off of unpaid/underpaid internships and entry-level jobs while overqualified.
[–]Neutral_User_Name6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
True, I often forgot about that reason. Probably because I was kicked out of the house at 19!! (And glad I was - one of my parents best decision)

Women have a difficult time thinking for themselves. Because society tells them that men who live at home are bad, they automatically discard all the men who fit that category.
I used to work with a girl who said she used to live with her parents, and even though she lived at home, she wouldn't date a guy who did. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Here's the kicker, she wasn't even pretty.
[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I'd rather live with my mom than with some gold-digging whore.

[–]RIchardjCranium6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women love losers. But you have to be the right kind of loser. If you’re the “live with mom and make $12 working for the Geek Squad” that’s the wrong one. If you’re the “I’m on parole and have neck tattoos” you’re the right one.

Moms can smell thots from a mile away (because they were one themselves a long time ago) and at least with most of them their motherly instincts to protect their offspring are bigger than the female herd mentality.
Unless you have a crazy one like mine who can not understand me being a happy bachelor and tries to set me up with anything that is:
a) at least remotely identifiable as a female
b) fits trough a standard door
(Hint, b is not considered a must if she has a "nice" character)
As if my father offing himself with booze in his 40is to get out is not enough motivation for me to get a woman.
