Let's face the facts.

Most men are fat asses.

And another truth: Most men are fat asses in denial.

Does anyone remember the sub fatpeoplehate here on reddit? I always thought that sub was ironic because it should have been renamed obesepeoplehate. The people they hated on there were not just fat, they were obese. I speculated a vast majority of the comment section on that sub consisted of fat people, or skinny fat people, making fun of obese people. It wasn't a bunch of thin, in shape commenters roasting fat people.

I actually have less respect for skinny fat people than obese fat people. Because obese fat people aren't in denial. They know they are fat. Skinny fats? They are in denial. They believe that because they aren't a big fat whale behemoth like the Mom from What's Eating Gilbert Grape, that they are perfectly fine. They don't need to work out. They don't need to watch what they eat or drink. They are fine! And they can make fun of fatter people!

But go out in public any day of the week at any time. Observe the men you see. Most men are fat or skinny fat out of shape losers no matter where you go. Most have no visible jawline, puffy faces full of fat deposits with not much angularity, double or triple chins, visible fat rolls(even under clothes), a spare tire, and a belly that overhangs their waistline amongst other things. Low body fat isn't just about how your body looks, but your face as well. Body fat % defines your face just as much as your body. Which is why even if your body looks "slim" enough, if your body fat % is too high, your face and facial aesthetics will look like shit.

Then you have guys who work out at the gym regularly and are still fat. I see this all the time. Working out and going to the gym doesn't give you a free pass to eat and drink whatever you want. You get a defined, low body fat body via the kitchen, not just the gym. Which is why I laugh at the guys at the gym who wear cut-off muscle shirts and walk around acting like they are the strongest badass motherfucker to ever step foot in the gym yet seem to get fatter every time I see them with a triple chin and belly overhang about to reach their knees. Waddling around the gym with a body shape similar to the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka. Your arms only look big because of all the fat blubber hanging off your triceps, not muscle. It's the male equivalent to tits on a fat girl. What good is having muscle and strength if its buried deep under layers of fat? Credit to them for at least being in the gym, but they are only doing half of the equation(skipping the diet & nutrition portion).

If you want to be in the Top 10% of men, you can't be a fat ass. You can't be a skinny fat with no muscle definition either. If you have more fat than muscle, you are fat. Even if you are skinny. Because if you are skinny rail thin with no muscle definition, you are fat because you still have more fat than muscle. You have to have muscle and a low body fat %. If you don't know what your body fat % is, or have a ballpark estimate, you're probably fat. Because men in shape, actually know these things.

Here is what you should do. Go to Target, or Wal Mart. Buy a scale that also measures body fat %. Now these scales aren't going to give you a dead on the nose accurate measure of body fat. But it will do two things. One - give you a ballpark estimate. Two - allow you to observe trends. If you weigh in every day, and the body fat % number it gives you trends downward, your body fat % is probably going down as well.

I bet there are men who are reading this post who have already said to themselves: "No need to keep going, I am fine, I am in shape, I don't need to watch what I eat, I'm fine, this isn't for me". I used to be the same way. I played football in college, was in great shape. I graduated and let myself go. All of a sudden I was fat. I had a double chin, belly overhang, fatty face, no visible jawline, etc. etc. etc. Took me 9 months of dieting to drop the fat and get back to a low body fat %. Bad diet habits will ultimately catch up to you. No matter how fast you think your metabolism is or how much you convince yourself you can eat whatever you want and not gain an ounce. When I was in high school/early college I literally could eat anything and not gain weight. I thought I would be like that forever. Around the time I turned 24 or so, a switch flipped. No more. Yet, since I didn't look like Jabba the Hut, I thought I was fine and not fat. So for almost 4 years I ate whatever I wanted and was lazy when it came to the gym. It wasn't until I saw a video of myself at the pool that I realized how fat I actually had gotten instead of what I saw in the mirror. When we look at ourselves in the mirror, we see what we want to see instead of reality.

Just like Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck if..." segment, you can do the same thing for fat people.

You might be a fatass if you can't see your jawline or have a double chin

If you can't see the outline of your abs even with flexing in the mirror, you might be a fatass

You might be a fatass if you drink beer or sugary drinks regularly

If your face has no angular definition, especially around the jaw and cheekbones, you might be a fatass

If you have a gut or beer belly, no matter how small, you might be a fatass

You might be a fatass if you don't know if you are a fatass

Get the idea?

All men should cut down to 10% body fat or less at some point in their lives. Not to stop there and maintain there. Not as a final destination body fat % endpoint. Not for any particular reason other than to just do it. It takes a lot of discipline, dedication and determination to get to a body fat % that low. The lower you cut your body fat %, the harder it is. Because the lower you go, the more your body tells you to stop. However, that doesn't mean its impossible or bad to get there. Getting to 10% is beneficial because it shows you what you are capable of and teach yourself discipline and determination and good habits. When you have cut down to 10% before, than cutting from 15% after a bulk to 12-13% isn't so bad. Also, it shows you how much better you will look at lower body fat percentages, and it gives you a better starting point for a bulk. The lower your body fat % is, the more additional calories when bulking are distributed to muscle as opposed to fat. I don't recommend maintaining at 10%, because it would be a bitch to do so. Some men do, but I don't. You shouldn't maintain until you are satisfied with your body composition, and I imagine most men, especially ones here, aren't. I know I am not, so I continue to bulk to 15%, and cut to 12% in cycles. You probably shouldn't go above 15% unless you are on a serious bulk where you are willing to sacrifice lower body fat % because once above 15% you start to experience the SMV-destroying aspects of higher body fat % like losing your jawline, no visible abs, a fatty face with less angularity and definition, spare tire, and more.

If you have an angular face, no spare tire, no fat rolls, visible abs even without flexing, a visible and defined jawline, and a belly that doesn't protrude when standing up straight, you are doing it right.

In conclusion, most men are fat. Most men are in denial about being fat. It's not just enough to "not be fat" these days. In order to be in the Top 10% of men, or even Top 20% of men, and score pussy, you need to not just be not fat, you have to be in shape with a low body fat %. If you aren't already actively working to be low body fat %, in both the gym and in the in the kitchen, you probably aren't low body fat %, if you are you are probably a scrawny non-lifter and that doesn't count.
