Be careful with the license plate as there will be someone who will take it the wrong way and damaged it, especially if it's a bitter woman or a white knight.
I wanted to get a darkwraith point across my car but I figure all the sun Bros would ruin it. Not worth it.
Great car though!!

[–]GamingYourMom32 points33 points34 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
How many times have you seen videos on the Internet of women tearing up men's cars because the man cheated on her? How many of men tearing people's car up? Yeah, thought so.

Probably he also thought about that and got a killer insurance. Either way anyone that buys a car like that basically accepts that taking it out of the garage is a constant liability.
[–][deleted] 26 points27 points28 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. I once had an ex threaten to slash my tires.
"My insurance will just replace them and then the company will sue you since I'll put your name on the police report"
I never got my new tires 😣
[–]AshyBoneVR414 points15 points16 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Fun fact I learned from a psycho bitch who calls me her friend. And then confirmed again by another chick I took out on a date. If three out of 4 of the tires are slashed, insurance won't replace the tires. All four would have to be slashed in order to have the tires replaced. The fact that more girls know this then dudes scares the fuck outta me.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Did you ask your insurance agent? Or take the word of women?
Another fun fact is that in small claims court you don't have to prove beyond reasonable doubt
[–]AshyBoneVR40 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

More like this sad fantasy you have to created vilifying an imaginary enemy in order to build your ego and reaffirm the world you live in. You are basically if North Korea was a person. From the inside you see yourself as this magnificent pinnacle of human acheivement, while every from the outside either feels sad for, or is laughing at you.
[–]geocitiesuser29 points30 points31 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
You are completely blind to the anti cis white male culture that surrounds you. Consider yourself fortunate. Just because you haven't experienced something, doesn't mean its not real. Many of us here have been taken to the ringers in divorces and have been attacked by "white knights" for various reasons. One friend almost lost his job because he said in a chat room that he agreed with the "genders are different" manifesto written by the google employee.
You can laugh and point and make fun all you want, but cross your fingers you don't have to experience it yourself.

I am aware that there are such cultures out there, but i do not let them dictate the way i view or live my life. There are shitty people of all sorts and kinds across this world, and of varying degrees. Picking the one that affects you the most and vilifying them is not a solution, you have to understand their viewpoints and find a common ground to agree on, not just invent stories that turn them in to propaganda. If you want them to understand you, then you have to understand them. Don't be naive and assume you or your community are the only people to be wronged, or that people who havent been wronged aren't sympathetic. I spent five years raising a little girl of the chick i was dating. When she decided to move out while i was at work and not talk to me or let me even say goodbye to my "daughter," it fucking devastated me. I am still an alcoholic to this day because i cant stand either being alone or being close enough to someone that they can hurt me that way again. Yet, i dont blame a whole group of faceless people, i blame my ex. There fucking evil people out there, but i still retain my faith in humanity. I am not pointing nor laughing at anyone, but simply trying to point out when someones opinion crosses the line. There is a difference between protective of oneself and being bigoted, and the original comment i posted to was bigoted.

Comparing a wife to a super car is very generous of you for the wife. Imo there's no competition. A wife for a man in modern days is a liability. A super car such as a Ferrari may go up in price in the future depending on the rarity of the model. Even a way lower tier sports car like a Toyota MR2, it may go down in price in the future, but it guarantees to give you a positive driving experience compared to a normal commuting/family car.
Therefore what I'm saying is a positive is always better than a negative. Super cars or even just sports cars, are always better than a wife which is negative.
[–]Swordeater25 points26 points27 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Hell yeah. Girlfriend hated that I was saving for a Miata instead of spending money on her. I left her the day I bought it.
I had more smiles test driving the thing than I did from the year I dated her. Don't invest in women, invest in yourself and your own enjoyment!
[–]speedkillz17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Called off a wedding because ex-fiancée wanted me to stop spending money on cars. It's true. Cars give you a feeling of freedom and happiness that is impossible to get from anyone else. And they give back 100% of what you put in every time. If your car is a piece of shit and treats you badly, it's only the owner to blame for poor maintenance and treatment. Cars > women.
[–]Swordeater7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
And even a POS car can be fantastic fun if you really don't care about it, I bought a $300 Civic that'd been riced to shit, but it was fast, had a turbo and a proper Megasquirt ECU with a good tune, but it was super unsafe to drive. Took it to the woods and saw how deep in I could get. I then borrowed a buddy's jeep, hauled it out there, and started using it for parts. That ECU is worth more than the car. Even when dead, cars still give to you.
Cars > Women any day.

Have to agree with you guys. When I was 20, I started dating a girl. I had my 3000GT VR4 for 3 years for 2 of those years I was fighting with a shop that supposedly "rebuilt" the engine. Well I got tired of having to keep rebuild the engine, so I imported a front clip from japan. I told the girl I was going to spend the weekend at my friends house swapping the engine and trans, and she said, "You're allowed to ditch me for your car ONCE, because other than that, I'm not having it." I told her that we were going to stop talking and that I hope she had a good night. Never spoke to her again.
Later on I found out she was a druggie, and she got with some dude who she had put in jail due to domestic violence. According to the chick who introduced me to her "her at the time best friend" the chick would beat on the guy, and when he finally had enough and hit her back, she had him arrested.
Cars saved me from women.
PS
Still have that VR4. It's sitting in my front yard still not working lol.

Nice congrats on gaining your freedom and your Miata!
Nice choice on the Miata btw. It's not too luxuries that would attract gold diggers, but it gives you the convertible and thrill of driving a sports car. Its small, its great on gas, you won't be too outrageous driving to work as well. Just an excellent sports car to have without breaking your wallet. There's a reason why the Miata is often considered as one of the greatest sports cars of all time, cause it's just a fun car that's affordable and not limited to the rich. It basically opened a new focus on the middle class instead of designing sports cars only for the rich.
I remember watching a best motoring episode back then and those Japanese racers use the MX5 (older Miata models) for training it's just a great well rounded car for learning how to corner and race in general. It's like motorcycle racing, my instructor whose a racer told us you think those professional racers use 1000cc bikes to train, no they use 125cc on dirt. A 125cc won't be so powerful you kill yourself while training, but on dirt it emulates the feeling of being on the edge you're almost balling out of a turn but you are hanging there kind of insane piss your pants feeling. You have to get used to that feeling in order to combat that fear when you are at 280km/h making a turn, that's exactly what the MX5 is as well. When people see your sports car, it's cool that they recognize and say "hey nice car!", but it's whole different level when those people look pass the car and actually recognize you the driver and say "wow this guy knows how to drive", that's the difference. You don't buy a 600hp super car and call yourself a racer, cause learning the skills takes a lot of time, effort, and mental fortitude.

Hell yeah! I've got a 1990 Mariner Blue, the 4,437th made. I love it so much. It's my only car, so I'm looking for a winter beater, but I'm enjoying every moment with it I can until winter hits. Road salt is hell on old Mazdas. But for a single 21 year old guy such as myself, it's plenty practical. Cheap & easy to maintain as long as you know your stuff, and pretty good on gas, I'd like to see it higher, it is a 1.6L after all, the best I've gotten was 530km on a tank, at 32mpg, but I can't complain, it's not a tree hugger penny pincher's car, it's a fun car!
And I absolutely agree, the first gen Miatas like mine are the best for handing, very closely followed by the fourth gen being sold right now. They're apparently so good that you basically need a $50,000 or more car to out handle a Miata. Or so I've been told. But I can confirm that it'll scare you. I chicken out way before the tires even start making noise. It's so much fun. It doesn't really feel like you're driving a car down the road, more like you're just driving along the road, if you know what I mean. It's just so connected to the road, and open feeling. The door sills are low, and the doors are thin, as Mr. Regular put very well, it's a park bench, not a prison.
If you're not fast in a little stock Miata with its turd for an engine, you're not fast in a 600hp McLaren or similar. It's absolutely down to skill.
One thing I've noticed about the my Miata actually, is women like it more, it's a feminine looking car after all. Not in the sense of "Ooh he's got cash, I better sleep with him" kind of reaction, but more like "Aww, what a cute car" kind of reaction. I'm cool with that. Kids also LOVE it too. There's this small group of kids that are always out on their scooters in my Parent's neighborhood, whenever I pass them they all start jumping around screaming "MIATA!! MIATA!!" so I've started flipping my headlights up and down at them, it's genuinely really cute.

Nice really happy for you bro. And thanks for sharing your experience with the Miata, makes me want to get one as well and damn I looked at Craigslist and they are really affordable.
100% agree it's all down to skill. If you don't know how to drive, you're still gonna look like an idiot on a McLaren or Lamborghini.
Btw just a suggestion, maybe best to cover your license in case if anyone doxxes you. I am really happy you share the photo to me, but you never know what other people would do on the internet. Just my 2 cents.
[–]Swordeater0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
They really are! I paid $4500 cad for mine, and it feels better, and is in better shape than any 3 year old vehicle in my area. If they're well taken care of, they'll last you forever. Very very well engineered cars.
My front plate is actually fake! My province doesn't require a front plate. The previous owner had a euro plate on, and it's chipped the paint on the plastic bumper behind it, and the paint is in bad shape around where the bolts go in. It's not the best of jobs. I'm searching for a new front bumper to replace the drilled one. So I got a fake euro plate off Amazon, drilled some holes into it, and bolted it on! I like the look of it, but I prefer it off. The euro Redditors love going apeshit on it too, it's apparently got government seals on it?
[–]secant1280 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh haha nice, you could troll those people thinking you are in EU lol.
$4500 CAD that money for that driving experience, man you got a great deal there, assuming everything in good working condition of course.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ha! Same except it was a small house for me.
Her look when I told her she wasn't coming with me was priceless
I think it's Hilarious you compared a woman to an MR2. Considering MR2s habit of snap over steer, they're likely to kill an inexperienced driver. But they're still better than a woman LOL.
[–]Chaddeus_Rex0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Add in the fact that having a supercar helps you get bitches whenever you want, for free when was the last time a wife helped you get frèe bitches? Thought so
[–]Rogdozz-3 points-2 points-1 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Lmao nobody marries a woman because he hopes to get money out of her. You can't make a supercar cook food for you can you? (Just as an example )
[–]secant1288 points9 points10 points 6 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
But you can certainly lose money though. Thats why it's a liability, at least majority of the cases.
Yes it's hard to compare if you want to go into detail. Ferraris are really expensive to maintain, so as women. But the thing I'm trying to bring out is the thrill or driving experience from a sports car/super car is guaranteed, meaning you are at least for certain getting something back from the money you spent. And you feel the money is worth it or else you won't buy it.
But a wife's companionship is not guaranteed, you pretty certain you will get the short hand and she gets the long end or else she won't marry you. She will try to figure out whether you love her more than she loves you so that she gets the long end and you get the shorter end and she get net positive out of the relationship.
To put it simple, a car won't divorce you or shit test you to begin with. Not to mention cuckhold you and many other shits they can pull out from you.
[–]Rogdozz1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Look, I understand why you think marriage is (at least partially) about money/financial security for women, and it drives me mad too when this bullshit western society (I'm a kurd living in Germany) pretends men and women are equal ("There's nothing a man can do that a woman can't"). Of course men are the ones providing for the woman. But I'm okay with that as long it's openly admitted and accepted. After all, men are (on average) better at making money, especially at having a succesfull business. And on the other side, if you want to have children who is going to raise them? You? I doubt a man can do that nearly as good as a woman. So in a traditional family the man should be the main provider, while the woman takes care of the children, works in the household etc. That way everyone does what they can best (ofc the man should also spend some time with the kids and in most cases the woman will also have to make some money). The woman is aware that the man is going through a lot to provide for her, and the man is aware that sometimes the woman will know better so he lets her make some decisions. I know that this kind of marriage is hard to get in your western society, but I'd take it over any car in the world
[–]PabloEscoba5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A car wont steal your pension or house or kids. Even this ferrari is a far better investment than any western slut could ever be. By the way i cook better than all my exes.
[–]notFrankieMacD4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
A man should be able to cook his own damn food instead of being reliant on women, most of whom today can't cook worth shit anyway.

I believe we call this "guns and butter". You see, the wife stops sucking your dick, so she depreciates in value. The car will get your dick sucked for many years, so that item appreciates in value. Saw it in the movie Baby Boy with Tyrese.

Marriage is not an investment, it's a liability, and it's horrifically expensive, especially if children are involved. Unfortunately, most men succumb to the fear of being referred to as "man children" who "never grew up".
