Oglivy was one of the best copywriters ever, he also did not believe in luck, but studying human nature and measuring things scientifically. Single handedly he started an advertising agency and then made it into the largest agency in the world.

One of his most successful ad campaigns was the VW Beatle one. To out this in context of happened in an era during the golden age of muscle cars, even a family sedan was expected to be big and have a powerful engine.

Yet despite this, Oglivy managed to make the VW Beatle one of the most highly sold cars ever. This is a car that is small, ugly and foreign made. There is going to be the hamster, selling a car is not the same as getting laid. BS. In both cases you are selling something. And Oglivy used the same principals whether he was selling detergent, toothpaste, beer, shirts etc. With a limited budget he took the underdog product and made them into household names.

Next hamster will be, it is just an excuse to avoid getting in shape etc. Bottom line is some guys are short, a different color etc. Does that mean they should get surgery to make themselves 6'6" and then get another operation to make themselves white ?

Without further ado. He is a copy of Oglivy's VW advert. Examine it and point out what TRP principals he used.

As for the hamster, I should point things out to you. Also possibly there are some principals I might have missed.

This is rubbish also, it is an excuse for laziness. Obviously TRP will not be there when you need to make your own decisions.
