Chicago high school students may soon need to create a plan for their future in order to graduate.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel appeared on “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday to discuss his new proposal, which would require students to develop a post-high school plan before receiving a diploma.

Chicago would be the first city to adopt such a requirement if the measure is approved by the city’s board of education.

We live in a period of time where you earn what you learn,” Emanuel said. “The school system of K through 12 is not applicable to the world and the economy and the world that our high school students are graduating to. So we’re moving to a pre-K to college model.”

Under the proposal, all Chicago Public School students starting with this year’s freshman class would have to show an acceptance letter to a four-year university, a community college, a trade school or apprenticeship, an internship, or a branch of the armed services in order to receive their high school diploma.

Around 62 percent of our kids are already either accepted into college or accepted into community college, and our goal is to make sure nobody spikes the ball at 12th grade,” Emanuel said on Wednesday. “We want to make 14th grade universal. That’s the new goal line.” (So what about the other 38% then? They just have their futures robbed?)

Chicago Public Schools students would have to show acceptance into continuing education, a trade or the armed services in order to graduate from high school.

Emanuel said the plan is a continuation of the city’s efforts to provide more access to higher education, including free community college for students with a B average or better. (and those without?)

“We want to make sure our kids do not see graduation from high school as the end point, but all of them have a plan and all of them have a specific acceptance on how to go to post-high-school education,” Emanuel said.

The plan would allow students in special circumstances to waive the requirement. Undocumented immigrants, English language learners and currently incarcerated students would be able to apply for a waiver with Chicago Public Schools.

So it's not enough that you took away 12 years of these children's lives, its not as if any child is actually happy to leave their home and spend 12 years sitting a classroom in the first place - now you're going to tell all those people who dont ensure a college takes them, which is a decision entirely out of their hands, that those 12 years you took were totally wasted, and they are not even going to be able to show PROOF they even spent time in your classroom throughout their childhoods?

Already the mainstream paid media is trying to spin this as a good and logical conclusion to fix a "problem". What they are conveniently forgetting is that it is statistically impossible for every single child to finish high school with a B grade average or better. Some people WILL fail, and the system DEPENDS on that because otherwise fail rates would not exist and schools would not use them as a tool to maintain exclusivity with entrance applications.

This is yet another example of the War On Boys. Dont be fooled by any suggestion otherwise. Statistically speaking, which gender is likely to be medicated for ADHD or other mindbending prescriptions for "acting bad" at the suggestion of their female schoolteachers? Which gender is going to be facing accusations of toxic masculinity? Which gender is likely to be bored in a classroom because the content of the lesson is not intellectually stimulating enough? Which gender is dropping out of high school and college at an higher rate? Men. Meanwhile, which gender is getting accepted into colleges at a higher rate thanks to affirmative action and other promotional programs? Women. AND YET, which gender is most likely to drop out of the workforce earlier? WOMEN.

The economy depends on men to do unglamorous jobs that women and people with white collar jobs would never consider doing. The GDP depends on it. But how will they get these basic jobs without a high school diploma? Notice also that they say those who don't qualify for schools or internships will have to register with Armed Forces to graduate. Are women going to flock to Armed Forces or to internships? Where does that leave the boys who get forced out of internship spots because women flood the entire market immediately after high school?
