TLDR: TRP is a bait & switch philosophy that sucks you in with common sense observations followed by crazytown nonsense.

There are some real and valid nuggets of truth in TPR. I'm the first to say it. But that doesn't make them right. Clinging to a few, clear and obvious facts, doesn't make the rest of what you say make sense. And the problem for a lot of people is conformation bias. You come to me with a problem, I validate a few clear and common issues you're having, and then I sell you a bill of goods to fix said problems. But that doesn't mean I'm right and it doesn't mean what I am selling you is a good idea.

Ok... Agreed. Any ideology that does this is fucked. So what's the crazy part?

Here's where the train goes off the tracks: They make some really fucked up claims, right along with verifying some very universal truths. They chase their tails in some really, fucked up logic circles. If she fucks you, she's a whore. But all women are good for is sexual conquest. You should find a woman who never fucked anyone. But if she fucks you, she's a whore. Unless she plays hard to get. But if she's doing that, it's just a shit test and she's a bitch. You have to break her down so that she will fuck you. Mind you, if she fucks you, she's a whore.

Nope nope nope... the train comes off the tracks anytime someone attempts to reduce a complex topic into a single, monolithic paragraph. This meta-analysis is really just a clever strawman argument. It paints a caricature of a complex topic, then ridicules that caricature for being simplistic.

No wonder so many just don't get it... this 10,000 foot flyby sounds pretty reasonable at a glance, but without the details loses the context which defines the actual meaning. Know why folks say that "the devil is in the details"?

Because it's true.
